Flagstaff KOA, Flagstaff, Arizona

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $60.00
Overall Rating:

This is one of the worst resorts we ever stayed. The nightly rate is between $ 60.00 and $ 75.00 per night and that for a resort that doesn't even offer a pool. The resort is convenient located but is so badly maintained it is a shame. Grass is over ankle high, the sites are not level and uneven. The backhoe is working the whole day, producing lots of noise and dust, so no peace at all. There's no pet policy, so people set up pet kennels outside their RV and have four or five dogs barking all day. What fun. When you go to the office and try to talk to the management there's never a manager around. He's always somewhere else and the front desk staff just smiles and say "we're sorry" but nothing is happening. This is a total joke and a waste of money, a complete rip off. If you can avoid this place, there are nicer resorts around for sure that offer for less money even a better value for your money. Also the roads are too narrow and in a very bad shape, it is hard to maneuver a big rig in order to get in or out a site. To get to this resort is hard since the signage on the interstate/highway/city road is not sufficient. There's no good visible sign in order to turn into the resort in a timely matter, so many people have to make a dangerous U-turn in order to get into the resort. The sign "turn here for the KOA" is after the turn-off. Don't know who thought about that, but that person did not invent the black powder. The only positive about this resort is that the wifi is excellent. We camped at Flagstaff KOA in a Motorhome.

Olde Stone Village RV Park, McMinnville, Oregon

Date of Stay: September, 2016 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

This is a nice, quiet RV park with friendly staff. Beautiful landscaping and big RV sites.

The only negative is that they close the pool after labour day even if the weather is warm or even hot. They would have made a lot of people happy if they had kept the pool open and not give some lame excuse that something was broken. Nobody I talked to believed that, it is just their policy even if the weather is in the mid till high eighthies. We camped at Olde Stone Village RV Park in a Motorhome.

Willamette Wine Country RV Park (monthly only), Dayton, Oregon

Date of Stay: September, 2016 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Very nice resort with friendly staff. Too bad that there are not enough camping spaces to accommodate the demand and because of that we had to move around resorts, but a big bonus is that they keep the pool and hot tub open after Labor Day.

There's no cable TV and the reception via the antenna is limited. We camped at Willamette Wine Country RV Park (monthly only) in a Motorhome.

Cape Kiwanda RV Resort, Pacific City, Oregon

Date of Stay: September, 2016 - $60.00
Overall Rating:

We visited this resort and are very satisfied, the resort is across from the beach and the Pelican Pub/Brewery. The staff is friendly and the store a selection of groceries. There needs to be some maintenance done to the sites and the roads. We camped at Cape Kiwanda RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Pacific Shores Motorcoach Resort (Formerly Outdoor Resorts), Newport, Oregon

Date of Stay: September, 2016 - $66.00
Overall Rating:

This is a resort for class A and C motor homes only and the length has to be at least 25ft. The resort is very clean and the staff if very friendly. The resort is on the ocean but only a few sites have ocean view, the majority has non and the view is as in any other resort: you're looking at your neighbours motor home. Furthermore there are two swimming pools with hot tubs and the inside pool has also a sauna.

There is quit a bit of noise caused by the highway and during the day there's also noise from workers at the resort, like pressure washing one RV pad for 5 hours (it was ridiculous). Altogether I find the resort over priced for what they are offering. We camped at Pacific Shores Motorcoach Resort (Formerly Outdoor Resorts) in a Motorhome.

We camped for four nights. Staff is very friendly, in general a nice place but the sites are not leveled and need repair. Water pressure is not great either.

Nice pool and beach. We camped at Bras D'Or Lakes Campground in a Motorhome.

Sunset View Campground and Cottages, Hawkshaw, New Brunswick

Date of Stay: July, 2015 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

We ended up here because the reviews of the campgrounds we planned to visit in Fredericton were not that good. We couldn't be happier. The people are very friendly and the resort is spotless, a great pool and quiet place to stay right on the river. I can really recommend this place. We camped at Sunset View Campground and Cottages in a Motorhome.

Carol's Campsite and RV Park, Sudbury, Ontario

Overall Rating:

One word: A dump, what a waste of money. Bad maintenance, and bad long term guests who start drinking at 5.00 am.

Avoid this place as much as possible. We camped at Carol's Campsite and RV Park in a Motorhome.

Spring Lake RV Resort, Spring Lake, Alberta

Date of Stay: June, 2015 - $55.00
Overall Rating:

We arrived without a reservation on a Thursday night and we were treated like we just committed the biggest sin. My gosh, just showing up without a reservation, how dare you.

the young blond girl behind the reception desk finally allowed us to stay for the night, but no sewer. That was fine with us since we were very tired.

We price included WiFi on our campsite for just one device (extra devices $5.00 each) but that didn't work at all. Back to the not so clever blond girl behind the reception desk, who just looked blank and the only thing she could answer was to phone the help desk.

If you have a campground and you state that drop-ins are welcome, let people feel welcome and if you have front desk staff, train them to be courteous and welcoming.

The campground is in a beautiful spot, there's a very nice beach where there are no dogs allowed but the beach is full of dog poo, and not just today's, so please enforce your rules and keep it clean. We camped at Spring Lake RV Resort in a Motorhome.
