Wine Country RV Park, Prosser, Washington

Date of Stay: May, 2015 - $43.00
Overall Rating:

Warm, friendly with a greeting that seemed to be "welcome home." Appropriately named ... You will be in wine country and as others stated a nice wine tasting bar with various Washington wines in display and for purchase.

Facilities are all in well maintained condition and for exercise after a day of driving, an easy walk to several restaurants and stores. Others commented about narrow roads within park. True and not a problem! Roads are paved and for the big rigs - easy to navigate. No worry!

Each site has comfortable and well maintained picnic tables on thick green grass. The sites near the front (about 1/2 of the sites) are concrete but have gravel in center, for this reason I gave it an 8. The remaining sites are gravel.

I like this park for the easy access, warm charm and the unique on site wine tasting and can recommend it with confidence. We camped at Wine Country RV Park in a Motorhome.

Mountain Home RV Park, Mountain Home, Idaho

Date of Stay: May, 2015 - $34.00
Overall Rating:

Are you kidding me? This campground should be the model campground of every "award winning" park across the USA. Beautifully manicured grounds with thick green grass between large (spacious) level, concrete sites. Everything about this park has been well planned and sets a new standard. Perfect! We camped at Mountain Home RV Park in a Motorhome.

Mtn. View RV (formerly Mtn. View Holiday Trav-L-Park), Baker City, Oregon

Date of Stay: September, 2014 - $33.00
Overall Rating:

Very, very good! Park has a rustic western theme with a great little general store, museum, and laundry facilities. Friendly, and the pride in ownership shows. Level sites with what I believe to be reclaimed asphalt, with picnic tables and green grass. Nice long sites for big rigs with toads. Easy in/easy out. Those with handicaps/mobility issues: grassy areas are nice but do have "pot holes" and tree roots posing stumbling/tripping potential. Roads/walkways flat, level and well maintained. We camped at Mtn. View RV (formerly Mtn. View Holiday Trav-L-Park) in a Motorhome.

Very nice! Easy access to and from freeway. Spacious, pull thru and back in sites with picnic tables and thick green grass. Well designed making maneuvering with big rigs no problem. Pride of ownership shows throughout park. We stayed here overnight while passing through area and would recommend this park with confidence. We camped at Autumn Woods RV Park in a Motorhome.

Cedar Shore Resort, Oacoma, South Dakota

Date of Stay: September, 2013 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

A nice, spacious campground. Well maintained facilities with grass, picnic tables, fire rings and good water pressure. While some sites are concrete, most pull-throughs are long, gravel, and are not level. In fact, getting our coach close to level in "the most level gravel site" (#41), was difficult. The good makes the leveling issue minor. This is a riverside campground. Sunrise, sunset ... Awesome! The view at night with city lights reflecting from the water, beautiful. A wonderful paved and cedar lined river walk and nearby hotel/resort and the warm, friendly staff help to make this the travelers' place to stop for the night or even longer. I'm glad we did! We camped at Cedar Shore Resort in a Motorhome.

Fort Harrison RV Park (Military FamCamp), Fort William Henry Harrison, MT, Montana

Date of Stay: September, 2013 - $11.00
Overall Rating:

"Build it and they will come." The RV'rs arrive and the most commonly heard remark is: "What they heck were they thinking?" The sites are far from being level. The sites are very close (too close) and extremely tight with high cement curbs that look nice and make no functional sense. CAUTION as tripping/falling hazards are found at nearly every site. Half of the sites have water/sewer hookup on one side while the electric hookup is on the other side rendering the previously referenced campground map obsolete. It makes no sense. It is a beautiful little campground ideally located between Yellowstone National Park and Glacier National Park. No bathrooms, no showers but the latrine (pit toilet) is clean and well kept. No management, no information and when calling to make a reservation, expect to leave several unanswered/unreturned phone messages. The grounds are maintained by a volunteer and the pride of ownership shows as he and his efforts has made an appreciated difference. A great campground for a short/overnight stay for those who are strong and steady on their feet. We camped at Fort Harrison RV Park (Military FamCamp) in a Motorhome.

D & W Lake Camping and RV Park, Champaign, Illinois

Date of Stay: July, 2012 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

As full time travelers, we were passing through and enjoyed this spot. A comfortable and quiet little park with easy access to interstate. Large rigs will be pleased with the easy in, easy out layout. Sites are gravel, hard packed with full hook ups and in good operating condition. Staff/management is friendly and professional and facilities feature newer (small) bath/shower facilities. Enjoy fishing, or a quiet walk around the lake: its clean and the landscaping is well maintained. We camped at D & W Lake Camping and RV Park in a Motorhome.

Timberline Campground, Waukee, Iowa

Date of Stay: July, 2012 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

Beautiful country setting with rolling hills and large, mature trees. Peaceful! Sites with full hookups were full. We had electric and water only. No problem! Other reviews report sites are not level and some may find that problematic. We leveled in our 42' pull-through with tow as we stayed in an overnight spot. It was easy in and easy out and no need to disconnect. The pool, rec-room, shower and bath facilities were nice and comfy. Management was friendly and helpful and I would stay again. We camped at Timberline Campground in a Motorhome.

Lakeside Camping, North Platte, Nebraska

Date of Stay: July, 2012 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

Adequate for an overnight stop. Facilities are poor. Electric, water and sewer connections in working condition. There is a nice little lake and the property is easy access from I-80. Traveling with pets? Beware of thorns (aka goatheads)! The "store" is not operating and there is a mini mart approximately 4 blocks (walking distance) from RV park. Bottom line: adequate for an overnight stop. We camped at Lakeside Camping in a Motorhome.

Cherry Hill Park, College Park, Maryland

Date of Stay: June, 2012 - $60.00
Overall Rating:

We are full time travelers and stayed for 3 months during the spring of 2012. Exceptional! Staff and management are friendly, professional and ready to help make your stay memorable. A very well planned and laid out park with easy access from freeway, and for those with bigger rigs, the park is easy in and easy out. Bathrooms are large, newer construction, clean and exceptionally maintained and conveniently located throughout park. Sites are gravel, some include paved patio bricks and most all sites are grassy and all drain well after heavy rains. Cherry Hill offers a hot tub and two swimming pools, one for children and families and the other for adults. One is heated and one is not and both pools are located immediately adjacent to the club house. There is a wonderful patio with tables and chairs and a great little cafe inside. The food is good and the hamburgers are excellent and the ice cream is great! The club house also features a game room, large, comfortable TV lounge and a large, well equipped laundry room. The office also houses a well stocked store and is able to satisfy most every food, snack, kitchen, bathroom and/or RV need. The RV park is large with its own small community personality. Families will enjoy the many playgrounds and runners/hikers will enjoy the wood chip trail surrounding the park. Plenty of shaded sites for RV's and wooded sites for tent campers. Pet owners will appreciate two off leash fenced areas and a couple of large mowed grassy "fields" to play catch and fetch the ball. We have traveled from coast to coast and Cherry Hill has set a standard, a leader and will always hold a special place in our hearts and we can highly recommend this park without hesitation. We camped at Cherry Hill Park in a Motorhome.
