We traveled throughout Michigan for a couple of weeks in July and this was one of the top two parks we stayed at. Registration was quick and the service was unmatched. They deliver wood to your site whenever you order it and only charge for the wood itself. The staff is constantly making sure guests have a pleasant experience. We stayed at the Class A resort area and the spaces were spacious and the grass surrounding the site was green and well kept. At night they kept youngsters and adults entertained with different activities. The night we arrived they had karaoke night. The restrooms were clean. If you are visiting the Sleeping Bear area, this resort is centrally located so you can drive to the park, and other nice areas like Glen Arbor and Glen Haven. I definitely recommend it.

This park was great. Although we would have preferred to have full hookups, the park's beauty and spaciousness more than offset the lack of full hookups. All of our family was able to have fun. The trails are extensive and many are shaded. The beach is beautiful and the fishing is also great. The nature center was very nice and at the time of our visit there was a deer in the back observation area eating some bird food. The boardwalk was perfect for an easy walk for the grandparents. Our site was just perfect. Our dogs had plenty of space. As in any park, be mindful of the ticks in the area. Overall, our experience in this park was EXCELLENT and will definitely return.
