Bar Harbor / Oceanside KOA, Bar Harbor, Maine

Date of Stay: August, 2018 - $97.00
Overall Rating:

One of the larger KOAs we've stayed in, this location is close to Acadia, on the water. Our site had zero trees, however, it was close to the ocean. The sites seemed packed together but overall was easy to navigate the campground for parking our 21' TT with one slide. Would stay here again when in the area! We camped at Bar Harbor / Oceanside KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

There is a shuttle that will take you around the area (not a KOA shuttle) that makes multiple stops. We did not use but it seemed to be fairly straightforward.

Copper John's Resort, Lakeview, Arkansas

Date of Stay: July, 2012 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

In town visiting family in Flippin and Yellville. Great location near the river, friendly staff. Most sites are shaded at some point during the day. Some great nearby restaurants if you need a break from cooking at the campground. Wal-Mart is maybe 20 minutes away. I'd come here again. We camped at Copper John's Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Salina KOA, Salina, Kansas

Date of Stay: July, 2012 - $34.00
Overall Rating:

Nightly rate represents reward card discount. The location of the campground is convenient, minutes off I-70. Difficult to find as others have mentioned but you can see it from the freeway if coming from the West. The negative? Pull through sites with full utilities are located feet from the sewage retention pond. Not a ton of choices in the city; would try somewhere else if we had to do it again. Most likely the worst KOA experience we've had after four straight weeks of camping. We camped at Salina KOA in a Travel Trailer.
