This is by far one of the best campgrounds we've ever camped in. It is a rare find for a state park to have water hook-up, sewer, and a laundry facility. This is a new park and it is absolutely the cleanest park we have ever been in. There are several hiking trails for all levels of difficulty. There are several prairie dogs waiting for your arrival!

This is probably the best campground that is closest to the Dells. It was so close we were able to walk to downtown Dells which is nice since it's hard to find free parking and makes for a nice family activity in the evening. Sites are the usual closeness for this kind of campground. If you're a tent camper there are some excellent sites, though they're far from the shower house. The trees make a nice setting. The campground hires an outside security agency which patrols the campground at night. I believe they were only here on the weekends and we could have used them during the week. Laundry facilities good, campstore and staff were good. We will make this our next stay at the dells. This campground could use another shower house for sure! Our septic overflowed as we were getting ready to pack and leave but it wasn't a big deal. They have to manually empty every septic site rather than have them draining to a central location.

The best part about this campground is the river. This year we're having a drought so their river was low which made it fun to wade through. A common activity is tubing on the river. The road through the campground was gravel and made everything very dusty. There is a pool and playground but this is NOT a family friendly park. There is a lot of swearing and partying by the seasonal campers and quiet hours are not enforced at all! At 11:00 there were people playing horseshoes with a flood light on! There was a lady that told my girls they couldn't be at a pool without an adult, although I was right there on the other side of the fence. She was holding a beer in her hand right near the no alcohol sign at the pool. If you have kids, go elsewhere. If you party, then you may enjoy.
