Desert View RV Resort, Needles, California

Date of Stay: April, 2017 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

I researched (visited each park in Needles) earlier in 2016 and picked this resort for our group outing. I don't know when the new owner took over but he is an outstanding people person. This park is one of the cleanest that we have stayed in. Large pull through sites. Rec Room is 24/7 and air conditioned. We spoke with the owner several times during our stay and he is striving to make this park even better. We had a pot luck and the owner surprised us with pizza for our group. We camped at Desert View RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Desert Cypress Mobile Home & RV Park, Wickenburg, Arizona

Date of Stay: March, 2017 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

The management at this park goes above and beyond. Manager was always willing to do whatever it takes to make our group feel welcomed. As the park was at 100 percent occupancy she was not able to park us as close as we desired but she still did a good job. We were all in the new section which still has a few issues but they are working on correcting them. WiFi was spotty. They have a nice rec room and kitchen area that we were able to use. The park has many snowbirds but everyone is very friendly. If you have an ATV be sure to try some of the trails. We camped at Desert Cypress Mobile Home & RV Park in a Motorhome.

I researched (visited each park in Needles) earlier this year and picked this resort for our group outing. I don't know when the new owner (Sinisha Kostich) took over but he is an outstanding people person. this park is one of the cleanest that we have stayed in. Large pull through sites. Rec Room is 24/7 and air conditioned. We spoke with the owner several times during our stay and he is striving to make this park even better. Our group of nine rigs are looking forward to returining to this park. We camped at Desert View RV Resort in a Motorhome.

The management at this park goes above and beyond. Gerri was always willing to do whatever it takes to make our group feel welcomed. As the park was at 100 percent occupancy she was not able to park us as close as we desired but she still did a good job. We were all in the new section which still has a few issues but they are working on correcting them. WiFi was spotty but a service guy was working on the issue while we were there. Havasu Falls RV Resort, Lake Havasu City, Arizona

Date of Stay: February, 2016 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

One of the nicest parks our group has stayed in. They recently changed the management team and Denise is terrific!!!!!!! Our group prefers pull-thru sites and they were able to accommodate us with some very nice sites. Only one rig needed to use a safety cone (offered by Denise) for their 36' RV with a 20' trailer. As this is still snowbird season, they had many activities going on. Nice rec room. Heated pool. There is a $2.00 charge per day for a dog. We camped at Havasu Falls RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Barstow / Calico KOA, Yermo, California

Date of Stay: January, 2016 - $46.00
Overall Rating:

The property is experiencing issues with employee turnover so somethings were not arranged as discussed for our group. Management was quick to rectify our issues as much as possible. We really appreciated being able to use the rec room. We camped at Barstow / Calico KOA in a Motorhome.

Moon River RV Resort, Mohave Valley, Arizona

Date of Stay: November, 2015 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

The Good Sam rating needs to be updated. Most of the staff were friendly but I got the impression that our group was not really very welcome as they prefer to have snowbirds. In fact they want us to send them full payment in July if we want to stay in November next year. They did reserve the rec hall for us. The rec hall has full kitchen facilities which our group needed. Our pull thru site did not have a table and I felt that the sites were very close together. We camped at Moon River RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Lakeside Casino & RV Park , Pahrump, Nevada

Date of Stay: October, 2015 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

Large fully landscaped concrete pads with attached concrete patio. Some sites had tables (ours did not). Fishing, pedal boats, frisbee golf and horseshoes. lagoon, sandy beach, fire pits and cabanas, heated pool and jacuzzi. WiFi was spotty. The lake is starting to get overgrown with weeds. We camped at Lakeside Casino & RV Park in a Motorhome.

Yosemite Pines RV Resort & Family Lodging, Groveland, California

Date of Stay: August, 2015 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

Our site was not level, hookups are good, the free Tengo WiFi is good, the staff does not enforce the park rules. When I mentioned the problem with campfires which were not allowed and the people who were quit noisy after quiet time I was informed that I was mistaken. The RV park is only 30 minutes to the Yosemite gate (a little over an hour to Yosemite Valley). A big con: this RV park is at about 3,000 feet elevation and there is an 8 mile climb up out of the valley, on Route 120, to get there. This 8 mile, two-lane section is full of tight switchbacks and tour buses and logging trucks come flying down the hill towards you as you climb. We are experienced RV'ers, but this was still a harrowing experience. Other cons: the RV park is all gravel (access roads and sites) which makes it quite dusty and dirty (muddy when it rains), T-Mobile cell phone reception is non-existent. If you order food to go from the deli there is an extra charge for the plate. Really!!!! We camped at Yosemite Pines RV Resort & Family Lodging in a Motorhome.

Ancient Redwoods RV Park, Redcrest, California

Date of Stay: August, 2015 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Nice setting in a clearing among the redwoods, but zero shade. WiFi was not adequate for making WiFi calls. No T-Mobile signal. The sites are pretty long (good for big rigs) and paved, mostly pull-through, with a nice grass lawn between each. They have two sewer hookups, one in the rear and one in the middle with lawn in between the sites. We camped at Ancient Redwoods RV Park in a Motorhome.

Klamath’s Camper Corral RV Park and Campground, Klamath, California

Date of Stay: August, 2015 - $54.00
Overall Rating:

The Klamath Camper Corral is a good choice when looking for a place to camp in the middle of the California Redwoods. We found it to be a tad overpriced. The new owners just took over in May and are working very hard to improve the campground. The laundry facilities have been upgraded with new machines. Tenters should be aware that a bear visits the fish cleaning station nightly. We camped at Klamath’s Camper Corral RV Park and Campground in a Motorhome.

Barstow / Calico KOA, Yermo, California

Date of Stay: August, 2015 - $44.00
Overall Rating:

Good sized level sites. Some shaded. They use Olenaders as site separators and they have a sign posted that warns about the danger to your pets and children if they eat the bushes. They run a free shuttle to the Calico Ghost Town. This is a good park for kids. We camped at Barstow / Calico KOA in a Motorhome.

The staff is very friendly and helpful. The park is not very busy as most of the sites were empty but the motel was full. We would stay here again if in the area. We camped at Teton Peaks Lodge & RV (formerly Teton Mountain View Lodge & RV Park) in a Motorhome.

Oregon Coast RV Resort (formerly Surfwood RV Campground), Reedsport, Oregon

Date of Stay: July, 2015 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

This is a terrible RV park. The sign in front of the campground claims Heated pool, Tennis Courts, Luxury Big Rig Pull Thru. None of this is true. The free WiFi was only accessible from the office. I had to cut brush so that I could get in and out of my rig. Needless to say I will not stay here again. We loss power twice during the two days we where there. We camped at Oregon Coast RV Resort (formerly Surfwood RV Campground) in a Motorhome.

Burlington / Anacortes KOA, Burlington, Washington

Date of Stay: July, 2015 - $49.00
Overall Rating:

Laundry room smelled like a litter box. Staff in general were not very friendly. Roads are very narrow and the campers are very inconsiderate for the most part. If you are parked in the last row in a big rig then good luck getting out of the park. You have to drive the wrong way on a one-way street that has trucks and cars blocking your path. To access the dump station you have to drive through an open lot in the tent area and move the rocks out of the way around the dump. We will not stay there again. We camped at Burlington / Anacortes KOA in a Motorhome.
