Kenanna RV Park, Grayland, Washington

Date of Stay: July, 2015 - $34.00
Overall Rating:

The most disappointing feature of this park is the water. The drinking water has a very distinct yellow color. We were told that this is normal for the area but that the water is safe to drink. Fortunately I had full tanks and did not top off when we left. I would not stay here again. We camped at Kenanna RV Park in a Motorhome.

Buffalo Run Campground, Island Park, Idaho

Date of Stay: July, 2015 - $1.00
Overall Rating:

Friendly owners. Great danish and pizza. The laundry takes a long time to do a load but gets your clothes clean. I appears that only the long term sites close to the office have sewer. Nightly rate is unknown. We camped at Buffalo Run Campground in a Motorhome.

Craters of the Moon / Arco KOA , Arco, Idaho

Date of Stay: July, 2015 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

This KOA has new owners as of May 2014 and they are fantastic. There is still work to finish to get the property finished but they are working on it daily. They serve a free pancake breakfast daily. Some nights they have an ice cream social ($1.00 per scoop) and they have a ranger give a presentation on the crater. We camped at Craters of the Moon / Arco KOA in a Motorhome.

Beaver KOA, Beaver, Utah

Date of Stay: July, 2015 - $37.00
Overall Rating:

The staff at this park are excellent and well organized. We were traveling with another couple so they gave us buddy sites which is nice but the layout of the sites is unusual with what appears to be a long row of sites that we felt were close tpgether.

We had to go to the local medical clinic on the Monday after a holiday weekend. The clinic was excellent and the staff are top motch. We were treated like locals. Everypne we met was friendly, kind and courtious.

Stayed July 2015, traveled with friends. We camped at Beaver KOA in a Motorhome.

WillowWind RV Park, Hurricane, Utah

Date of Stay: April, 2015 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

This is a very nice park with paved, level pads for parking your RV. If you need satellite make sure you reserve a satellite friendly site. They provide a very large cable selection. Very few pull thru's. many snowbirds. Internet is spotty but good enough for email. The three page list of rules and regulations seems excessive but most campers should be able to abide by the rules. We were a group of ten RV's but due to some problem with staff turnover we were not able to be assigned close spaces. We camped at WillowWind RV Park in a Motorhome.

Lake Mead Recreational Area - Willow Beach, Lake Mead Recreational Area, Arizona

Date of Stay: March, 2015 - $18.00
Overall Rating:

Traveled with a small group of campers and we all had very nice campsites. It's a long way from the water and store but still very enjoyable. There is little to no cell service in the area. The also is no clubhouse for groups to use. There are handicap spaces available. We camped at Lake Mead Recreational Area - Willow Beach in a Motorhome.

Needles Marina Park, Needles, California

Date of Stay: January, 2015 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

Friendly campground staff. Many snowbirds. Several activities such as ladies poker night, men's poker night, Bunco, Bingo. I camped with a group and we were able to use the meeting room which was great as the weather was cold and windy several days. The sites were very level but were no-frills (no tables, basic dirt pad and no shade). I would expect these sites to be very hot in the summer. We camped at Needles Marina Park in a Motorhome.

Ridgeview RV Resort, Bullhead City, Arizona

Date of Stay: May, 2014 - $22.00
Overall Rating:

Pros: Large park with many available spaces. The pool/spa and community center were reopened recently and are very nice. Most of the sites appear to be level, large lots. Cons: The power connection is on the side opposite the water and sewer. No tables and very little shade at the sites, and the patio slabs are fairly small and in many cases do not lineup for access from the coach. Office closes at 4:00 We camped at Ridgeview RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Picketts RV Park (formerly Alamo RV Park), Alamo, Nevada

Date of Stay: April, 2014 - $26.00
Overall Rating:

Pros: This is a very clean park with level sites. The Wi-Fi is better than most we have been in. Cons: The managers (dog owners) seem to hate other pets. We were scolded about making sure that our dog did not relieve herself on the property of the park. We were suppose to make sure that the dog was off property and behind the fence first. One of our group was taking her dog off property when the dog had to take a leak while still on property. She was scolded about allowing her dog to desecrate the grounds. The sites are very narrow and while it was nice to have our group parked next to each other my bay doors would hit the slide out of the next RV if I opened it all the way. We were warned about excessive water pressure so we used a pressure regulator. The problem was that if we turned on the water, there was an underground leak in their system that caused our meeting area to flood. When I mentioned this to the manager, I was told that the owner would not authorize repairs. We camped at Picketts RV Park (formerly Alamo RV Park) in a Motorhome.

Longstreet Hotel Casino & RV Resort, Amargosa Valley, Nevada

Date of Stay: October, 2013 - $18.00
Overall Rating:

This is a gravel lot with the basic necessities. There is no shade or tables. Some sites had a light by the edge of the site but most did not work and the staff could really care less. WiFi was very spotty. We camped at Longstreet Hotel Casino & RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Railside RV Ranch, Williams, Arizona

Date of Stay: September, 2013 - $31.00
Overall Rating:

We have stayed in many RV parks in our travels across America and while this is not the most luxurious park it is the most family/pet/group friendly park I have ever stayed in. The owners treat everyone like family. The complimentary breakfast consists of waffles and hard boiled eggs and cereal with coffee and juice. While there is only one table in the office area there are several tables on the porch. We were able to purchase tickets for the railroad trip to the Grand Canyon at the office and they provided a free shuttle to the depot. If someone missed the train on the return trip, they would drive up to the canyon and pick them up. (How do you spell customer service?). We had a pet emergency about midnight and when I went to the office and woke up host to ask for help, she provided the 24 hour emergency number of the vet in Flagstaff. The site are mostly level with a gravel base. Only the sites on the east side of the park have tables, but we used the community room which has tables, TV, computer and heat. During prime season they show movies and have a covered area setup tables for large groups. Don't forget the excellent fire pit with free fire wood. We camped at Railside RV Ranch in a Motorhome.

Mountain Road RV Park, Tucumcari, New Mexico

Date of Stay: July, 2012 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

There is a Loves and Flying-J at the exit from I-40. The entire park is gravel except for the so called pet walks which are scrub brush. Internal roads are narrow and sites are short and narrow. Someone said that the sites are long pull-throughs but when I used the pull-through site with a 33 foot class A and a small tow dolly, my car was sticking out into the road. Someone put down that there are shaded sites. There are skimpy water starved tall bushes which can be a problem for some slideouts. The cable was very fuzzy and several of the listed stations were not available. The Wi-Fi was barely usable for email but not much else. The laundry and restrooms are kept locked (although restroom keys are available if you know where to look). We camped at Mountain Road RV Park in a Motorhome.
