Caballo Lake RV Park, Caballo, New Mexico

Date of Stay: May, 2017 - $15.00
Overall Rating:

Caballo Lake Park is cool. This park is just what a serious RV'r looks for. Clean, big sites, no bathrooms/showers and a great camp host/owner. The price is just a bonus. One night, 50 amp, $19.75. Just off the Interstate but didn't hear a thing. The owner lady puts on a Happy Hour at 4:30. Bring your own and she does up some snackies. We camped at Caballo Lake RV Park in a Motorhome.

Topaz Lodge Casino & RV Resort, Topaz Lake, Nevada

Date of Stay: June, 2015 - $22.00
Overall Rating:

Check-in at the General store. You won't know that if you follow the signs to the RV Park. Then you see the sign to go back to the store. New guy at the register. Sent me to the little area they have the RV park computer. He then waited on customers until another employee sorta helped out. Then I had to get back in line to pay the first guy.

Ended up with a back-in that just fit my 40' motorhome. 50 amp breaker was blown on the box to I hooked up to 30. Site was sorta level. OK for a one-nighter. We camped at Topaz Lodge Casino & RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Boulder Creek RV Resort, Lone Pine, California

Date of Stay: June, 2015 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

We've stayed here in the past and are always impressed. Fast, easy check-in. The park is easy to drive around in. It's all dirt/gravel but the sites are level and everything worked. Good Wi-Fi (open) and our site had good southern exposure for satellite. Huge fenced dog run at the rear of the park. We camped at Boulder Creek RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Bismarck KOA, Bismarck, North Dakota

Date of Stay: August, 2012 - $44.00
Overall Rating:

I didn't use any park facilities, but I had to comment on the friendliness of this place. We came in to a fully booked park and we ended up in overflow with electric and water only. They bend over backwards to accommodate as many people as possible, even when they're full. We had a mechanical problem with our motorhome and had called ahead to the big motorhome dealer/service place in Bismarck (Capital). They said they were totally booked until the end of the month (3 weeks). I mentioned it to our host and the next thing I know, he's on the phone to a truck repair place (Interstate), and I had an appointment the next day. When we got back to our space, he came by to check on us and make sure we had been taken care of. Busy place but they handle it well. Thanks! We camped at Bismarck KOA in a Motorhome.

Rancheros de Santa Fe Campground, Santa Fe, New Mexico

Date of Stay: July, 2012 - $34.00
Overall Rating:

Finally the Wi-Fi is back up and running in my area of the park so I can do this rating. About this park, in a word, "rough." I depended on TLD's ratings to go to this park and I think I got hosed. Lots of weeds (maybe they call it "rustic".) We got put into a space overlooking their "broken stuff" storage area. Staff is very friendly. Water pressure barely adequate. Roads are not that great during a rainstorm. Lots of mud and puddle holes, also in the sites. I was kind of disappointed. We camped at Rancheros de Santa Fe Campground in a Motorhome.

Elephant Butte Lake RV Resort, Elephant Butte, New Mexico

Date of Stay: July, 2012 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

Monday afternoon check-in. No one at the office, but clear directions on where to park until the next morning. HUGE pull-through with multiple hook-up locations at each site. Clean, well-maintained, spotless. The majority of sites are back-in and look like folks here for a bit. The pull-through appear set up for travelers. Spotless laundry and shower rooms. Meeting room and patio area with tables and BBQ's. Next morning check-in was flawless with a very friendly host. We used our Passport America. Very decent price for this kind of park. Appears geared toward adults. No playground or pool but they have an agreement or relationship with an Inn across the street to use their pool facilities for free. It also includes 10% or more off at their spa and a restaurant next door. They are dog friendly with a small enclosed dog run and indoor dog wash. Dog cookies at check-in. I'd definitely stay here again. We camped at Elephant Butte Lake RV Resort in a Motorhome.
