This is a beautiful, natural setting on the ocean (thought only the first row of sites has actual ocean views). The back loops have natural vegetation. Beware that the back-most loop is directly beside the highway; traffic is infrequent but logging trucks thunder through at night time. Notes: Bathrooms do not have showers. Un-threaded water taps are plentiful. The only threaded water tap is at the dump station.

Date of Stay:

This campground is equally convenient to Anacortes, WA, Deception Pass State Park, and Laconner, WA. One loop is beautifully landscaped and the other is stripped bare. Site privacy is generally poor. The restrooms are very clean but closed at night. The guy at the front desk was fairly gruff, reading a long list of campground "don'ts" to me at check-in. The heater in our cabin was broken.

Date of Stay:

This campground is in a geologically interesting area, along a chain of lakes creating by an ice dam blowout about 15,000 years ago. The grounds are well maintained, but sites have low privacy. The restrooms are poorly maintained: dirty, showers did not work (ate quarters, spotty hot water, etc.).

A beautiful setting with plenty of activities within the park. Grounds are well-maintained with generally good privacy at back-in sites, and no privacy in pull-through sites. Restrooms were clean but showers did not work (ate quarters, spotty hot water, etc.).
