Falcon Meadow Campground, Falcon, Colorado

Date of Stay: December, 2012 - $33.00
Overall Rating:

For camping in December, this is a 10! The greeting was extremely friendly. I was asked of my plans in case I was needing directions or assistance. They escorted to my site and made sure my full hook-ups were to my satisfaction before they departed. That's service! My site was level and had easy access. My view was spectacular, the Wi-Fi was strong and I wasn't ever bumped off. The shop was a gem! Saved me from going to a grocery store. I also found some fun souvenirs. It's easy to overshoot their driveway, so be sure to slow down as you're approaching it on US24. Was very pleased to be able to fill up with LP before leaving (didn't need fuel, but they have pumps for that, too). We camped at Falcon Meadow Campground in a Motorhome.

Adobe RV Park (55+ park), Golden Valley, Arizona

Date of Stay: December, 2012 - $24.00
Overall Rating:

Excellent park except for the lack of Wi-Fi. Loved the clean, spacious and warm restrooms and showers. Laundry room was immaculate. Easy to locate, easy to get into and out of site, and level site. Good utilities. Enjoyed the Christmas decorations, too. We camped at Adobe RV Park (55+ park) in a Motorhome.

Meteor Crater RV Park, Winslow, Arizona

Date of Stay: December, 2012 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

I stumbled upon this park on my way west and chose to return on my eastbound trip, stayed multiple nights eastbound. GREAT place. Level, pull-through, full hookups, with easy turns. Not much in the way of entertainment but I had all I needed with Wi-Fi, great laundry facility, peace and quiet, and the friendliest staff I've encountered! Put this one on your list if you're wanting a nice place to regroup. See the crater, too! It was amazing. We camped at Meteor Crater RV Park in a Motorhome.

Elk Creek RV Park, Elk City, Oklahoma

Date of Stay: November, 2012 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Very noisy from the highway and truck stop. If I travel this direction again, I will try another place. The site was level and electric was good (I had electric only). I was glad to be able to walk to Subway for a meal. We camped at Elk Creek RV Park in a Motorhome.

West 40 RV Park (CLOSED), Shamrock, Texas

Date of Stay: November, 2012 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

I was so pleased to find this easy-access park with full hookups and Wi-Fi. Given the ruralness of the area, I wasn't sure what I'd find, but this park and it's owner were super. It isn't the classiest of parks, and it doesn't have activities, but it had what I was needing: level, easy in/out pull-through site, good utilities, Wi-Fi. And beyond that, I also got a nice friendly greeting. I was pleased with the laundry room, so I went ahead and enjoyed a little RV-keeping while I was here. We camped at West 40 RV Park (CLOSED) in a Motorhome.

Clayton Park Recreational Area, Lake Ariel, Pennsylvania

Date of Stay: September, 2012 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

I am not a seasonal camper but if I were this would be the park I'd choose. Unfortunately, I was merely a short-stayer. I was so pleased with the view, peacefulness & all the quiet I heard! The people (not just staff but campers, too) were very friendly & welcoming. My utilities were reliable, the wi fi was strong, and I was 1 very happy camper. Wish I could have stayed much longer! We camped at Clayton Park Recreational Area in a Motorhome.

Beaver Dam Campground, Berwick, Maine

Date of Stay: September, 2012 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Very relaxing and peaceful place to camp. The staff were exceptionally friendly. There are so many things to do nearby in this tourism-friendly southern Maine area that I didn't take in much that the park offered, but they certainly offer a lot (waterfront walking, boat rentals, mini-golf, pool, & scheduled activities). I would definitely return, and if I lived nearby I'd certainly consider this park for my regular get-away spot. We camped at Beaver Dam Campground in a Motorhome.

Lord Selkirk Campground, Eldon, Prince Edward Island

Date of Stay: September, 2012 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

I thoroughly enjoyed this peaceful place with magnificant sunsets, but I missed my Wi-Fi. It was a wide space and extremely long, but there wasn't much beyond that to talk about in my journal. Perhaps if I were a golfer, ahhh, there you go. Golfers will love this place! We camped at Lord Selkirk Campground in a Motorhome.

Mascoma Lake Campground, Lebanon, New Hampshire

Date of Stay: September, 2012 - $37.00
Overall Rating:

This park is built on a hill, and that means many sites have a view of the lake. I thoroughly enjoyed my view! The park was very quiet. From my site I didn't have any road noise, and all of my neighbors were very quiet. The Wi-Fi signal was important to me, and it was strong every bit of my 4-night stay. If you're looking for a pull-through; I'm not sure you'll like this place, but I was very pleased with my easy back-in spot. We camped at Mascoma Lake Campground in a Motorhome.

The view and the extremely easy walk into town makes this place so great. I can't say I used any of its facilities, but I had an level and easy-access site with the services I needed, and I thoroughly enjoyed my walk into town & my view from my campsite. Whidden Park Campground & Cottages, Antigonish, Nova Scotia

Date of Stay: August, 2012 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

I camped here for the convenience of renting a car & using this as my hub, and for that I'm grateful for this park. I enjoyed their laundry facility and the very friendly & helpful staff. Praises to all that! I had several restless nights due to the noises from such closeness of the sites, and the kids were very active on the street in front of me and all over the park as I came & went. If I did this park again, I'd do it when the families were back in school. We camped at Whidden Park Campground & Cottages in a Motorhome.

Cornwall / Charlottetown KOA, Cornwall, Prince Edward Island

Date of Stay: August, 2012 - $44.00
Overall Rating:

When you have trouble upon arrival you can really see the park's true colors, and this park shined! There were some issues and I'm telling you, this team worked well & resolved everything beyond my satisfaction. Bu they don't get a 10 just for that! They also have a wonderful place. I enjoyed some live music, a quiet site, shade from the intense sun, and solid Wi-Fi. Staff helped me get a cab into town, where I thoroughly enjoyed my touring. I'm glad I chose to stay a few nights at this place. I was in good hands. We camped at Cornwall / Charlottetown KOA in a Motorhome.

Cavendish Campground (Parks Canada), Prince Edward Island National Park, Prince Edward Island

Date of Stay: August, 2012 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

The plus to this place is the ocean. If it weren't for that, I'd have gone elsewhere. My space was in such a densely treed area that my space was barely wide enough to not push my side-mirrors inward. No slideouts this night! No Wi-Fi, either. But my goodness, what a delightful walk along the beach, just a few minutes from my campsite. I stayed for a night & enjoyed it all, but was glad I wasn't staying a week! We camped at Cavendish Campground (Parks Canada) in a Motorhome.

Parlee Beach Provincial Park, Pointe-du-ChĂȘne, New Brunswick

Date of Stay: August, 2012 - $33.00
Overall Rating:

Roads were awful; huge potholes were filled with rainwater. Roads were narrow. The site (#25) had a rock mound off-center, so leveling was a challenge. It was hard to reach the electric & water hookups (which were on the wrong side; shared utilities but everybody had to back in, so reach was impossible without extensions), while the sewer hookup was perfectly situated (very odd layout). Quiet hour was to begin at 10, but the parties continued all around until 10:40. The registration clerk drew on my map directing me to my site, but I had to loop out and come in from the other direction because to park at the correct angle I had to come in from the other direction. We camped at Parlee Beach Provincial Park in a Motorhome.

Glooscap Campground, Parrsboro, Nova Scotia

Date of Stay: August, 2012 - $27.00
Overall Rating:

This is getting a 10 because I have an amazing campsite with the Bay of Fundy right out my window, and the registration process was very easy, friendly, helpful & informative. The Wi-Fi is great, but I understand it may weaken when the park fills (at least I have it strong for now). The pull-through site was easy in & will be easy out. I had to put 2 leveling pads on 1 side of the rig, but otherwise the site was perfect. We camped at Glooscap Campground in a Motorhome.
