Brennan Beach RV Resort, Pulaski, New York

Date of Stay: May, 2016 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

Stayed here for Memorial Weekend.

Checking in was very disorganized for RV pull-ins. The staff was rude and uninviting.

The number of golf-carts speeding around the campground was ridiculous and our children could barely ride their bikes around without getting yelled at by drivers because bikes are slow.

Vehicles would speed through at night making all sorts of noise and coolers and beer were getting stolen throughout the campsite.

The sites were close and the water pressure was very low and you have to rent a box now for tv that stated it was included with the site.

Staff did not have answers to common questions such as when the on site store closes.

There is no access to the campground if you leave after certain hours.

The pools were not open and were disgusting, fire pit rings were small brake drums and there were no activities for children.

They shut off the water on the day of check-out without warning us which delayed us cleaning up and being able to dump the rv sewer/gray water.

The beach showers did not work properly then were shut off completely instead of being fixed while bathhouse showers did not work properly and stalls were not private.

You also had to pay if you wanted internet that was supposed to be included. We camped at Brennan Beach RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Find alternative stores as the ones on site do not have reasonable hours.

Lock your personal items at all times as they will get stolen if left out.

Make sure to add length of vehicle to camper length or the spot will not be big enough for both.

Bring your own fire ring if possible as the ones available are quite small.

Choose sites that are not near any main roads as traffic is non-stop all day and night.

Westcott Beach State Park, Sackets Harbor, New York

Date of Stay: July, 2012 - $15.00
Overall Rating:

This campground provides plenty of activities for family campers. There is a large beach and day use area with a great playground that provides a lot of physical activity for children. There is also a vending machine and arcade building for day use. The campsites are medium size yet some are close to each other. Many sites are RV occupied and tend to block the views, but there are some inner sites for campers using tents. There are several comfort stations providing hot showers as well as potable water stations throughout the campground. There are a few electric sites. Quiet hours are pretty strict and may be enforced by other campers as well as a rare check-up by park officials. This campground is recommended for those looking for a quiet camping experience and an early lights out policy. We camped at Westcott Beach State Park in a Travel Trailer.

Delta Lake State Park, Rome, New York

Date of Stay: July, 2012 - $15.00
Overall Rating:

This campground is a wonderful place for a family to enjoy the great outdoors and offers recreation for the family and a day-use area. The sites are fairly clean other than the fire pits not being emptied for the next campers. Neighboring campers are friendly and helpful and the campground is well maintained. I would recommend this campground for both extended and day-use. The only recommendation is for electric sites to be available. We camped at Delta Lake State Park in a Travel Trailer.
