Great park with a beautiful view. Watch carefully for the turn-off to the marina...going south it comes quickly. There is plenty of room to park the rv when checking in. The process is very smooth. The folks there are really professionals.

Date of Stay:

We made our reservations 2 months ahead and were not told that the main park was full with a convention. We were put out in the mobile home park with only 30 amp service and no cable TV. Park advertises 50 amp and cable. We had to use gas for our water heater and only 1 air conditioner. No TV during Olympics!! Owner just said nothing he could do about it!

Date of Stay:

The sites in b loop are sinking. Although we had a long site for our 36 ft RV, we could not back all the way in or we would not have been level. We have 4 sets of blocks that we tried to use to level. Therefore, our tow car did not fit and the park ranger wanted to charge us $7 a day to park! We were there a week. Parked our car in our friends spot. Otherwise it is a nice state park with a lake and in town.

Very nice park with easy access. Pool very crowded with youth baseball teams so didn't get a chance to use it, although it looked nice. We are 37 ft and the spot was a little short. We would stay again.

Very dated park. Advertises 50 amp but only 30. No cable, no over air tv. Some sites may get satellite but there are many trees. Pool and hot tub were old, dirty and smelly. Park needs work. Way over priced. Would not stay here again.

The park needs a lot of work and is over-priced for the condition. The management lets other units come in after 11 PM and the service pods are together so the noise is terrible. One trash receptacle was in the front by the road. The restroom (2 total) in the rear was dirty.

We stayed in the 10 hook-up part of the county park. They state full service, but only 30 amp and not a trash can in site. Backs up to a trailer park. The area was quiet but no view of the lake. We would not stay here again for that price. The $7 sites are on the lake but very, very steep entrances.

Date of Stay:

This is a no frills quiet park. The price is right. The sites are narrow but one stays here to sightsee, not sit in the park. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. We had deer right in front of us in the field. We would stay again if ever in the area.

The owners are trying very hard to keep this older park looking nice. We did not notice the highway noise. Site were a little narrow but nicely shaded. We did not use the wifi as we have our own and their cable worked fine. Restrooms were clean. A little expensive, but the only one in town! We would stay again, for a week. There are many activities in town.

This is a beautiful well-run state park. Reservations are a must, especially for the best sites. There really are no bad sites in Wheeler Loop. Showers by marina are clean, as bathrooms, otherwise there are vault toilets. 2 other lakes nearby for fishing and kayaking. We can't wait to return.

Nice wide sites and friendly staff. A little truck noise in mornings, as it is in an industrial area. Close to town to see sights. Electric and water were fine. We would stay here again.

Date of Stay:

Roads and sites were very dirty and dusty. Low voltage on one leg of 50 amp service so could not run bedroom air. They did have a moderate continental breakfast, and staff were nice. We would not stay here again, even for one night. Keep going to next destination.

Very well manicured spots. Each site had a patch of grass and sites were marked by curbing. A little expensive as there were no amenities, for example, no laundry. We stayed 5 nights and would definitely return. Staff was great.

This is a nice park for an overnight...we had to pay extra for 50 amp service and for a small dog. There are about a quarter of the sites taken up by long-termers or workers. The Wi-Fi was really non existent. When it worked, it was super slow. If you do not have satellite TV, there is no TV. There is a very small area that is supposed to be for cell service; we only got one bar. There is only one place for trash disposal, by the office. There are a lot of hikes and things to see and the pizza place in town is great! It is very wooded (hence no cell service) but close to highway. They say no tents, but there was a tent and another tent off a 5th wheel. The showers and bathrooms were so/so.

This is basically a parking lot. Only trees are for the back-in sites, and the road leading out of campground from the site is very narrow. Be careful making a reservation here. We tried to cancel our reservation with 8 days notice and they would not refund any money. It is close to town but not walking distance. There is no highway noise. It is OK for a night, but campground in Napa is better.
