I don't think there's really a bad site at this park. Our site was on the water (as most are). We enjoyed the shade of the trees and the view of the lake. This is a nice place to ride your bike. Mostly families camping here; the park is quiet in the evenings. There are 2 dump stations near the front of the park. Gray stations are located in many locations throughout the park. There are several playgrounds, but I think it is the same equipment at each site. There's a link off of the campground's site that will let you view pictures of each individual site.

The campground was the bare essentials. We never met with the management. I don't think the office was open the whole time we were there. Several people live at the site in their tents and other permanent homes. This is not the best place to go family camping. However, it is conveniently located near some recreational parks.

This is a very small campground, but don't let that stop you from camping here. The staff are very friendly. There are 2 small very stocked ponds for trout fishing - any child will be able to catch multiple fish. A small stream flows alongside the property that you can stand in at one end. A bigger lake provides a more challenging fishing experience and there is a paddle boat available. The area is super quiet (we were the only ones there). The campground itself is actually just in NC, but you get there from the major highway in GA. The only downside (if there has to be one) is that the sites are not the easiest to access. However, we were able to do just fine given that it was our first time ever camping. If you're looking for a cheap place to stay with a relaxing, friendly atmosphere give this place a try. You won't be disappointed.
