Rafter J Bar Ranch Camping Resort, Hill City, South Dakota

Date of Stay: July, 2006 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

They have five campground areas. They are each about a quarter to half mile apart. They only have bathrooms in three of the the five areas. If it is important to have bathroom and shower access, you must make sure you confirm this at the start. The Ranch area is very tight. We used the bathrooms here and drove there in our dually truck. I could hardly get the truck in the camping area because the trees were so tight to the road. I am talking 10 inches on each side of the truck. I do not know how people even got a pop-up in the sites. We camped at Rafter J Bar Ranch Camping Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

St. Mary / East Glacier KOA, St Mary, Montana

Date of Stay: July, 2006 - $44.00
Overall Rating:

Good location but too many sites for the number of bathrooms. The Wi-fi did not work and is only available in the office. We stayed here two nights and lost the power 8 times the first night and 3 times the second night. Because of the few bathrooms for the number of campers, they were always dirty. We camped at St. Mary / East Glacier KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Mountain Meadow RV Park, Hungry Horse, Montana

Date of Stay: June, 2006 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Nice campground, however, the whole campground is on rolling hills and the sites are not level. Our fifthwheel is 34 feet long and we could just get it on the site. If you have a coach longer than 30 feet, I would recommend some other campground. We camped at Mountain Meadow RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Arrow Campground, Wall, South Dakota

Date of Stay: June, 2006 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

We were here only five minutes after we paid and then left. We asked for a 50 amp site and paid cash only to find that the park was not wired correctly. When they came to look at the circuit breakers, it had a 50 amp plug with a 40 amp breaker on it. We decided to leave and they refused to return our money. It was not our fault that we paid for something they did not have. It would be better to stay in the other campground in town. We camped at Arrow Campground in a Fifth Wheel.
