Great place to stay! Spotless and well maintained with grass between each spot. Easy in and out. Very friendly host and the nicest bathrooms/showers we have come across. We camped at Mountain Home RV Park in a Motorhome.

Cheyenne KOA, Cheyenne, Wyoming

Date of Stay: August, 2012 - $47.00
Overall Rating:

Very disappointing. No WiFi service, showers are like prison hot boxes. The laundry is the most expensive and lowest quality I have found on our trip. The reason for the low score, however, is the not-so-friendly treatment received at the park. We usually give KOA a go because you expect a little more for the higher $. I think $47.00 is the high end of RV space that honestly isn't that fantastic. All gravel; just parking spaces on a lot. We needed to work on the A/C before we left. So I went into office at 10 am to warn them that we would be leaving late (around 2pm at the latest). I didn't think it would be a problem because the park is just about empty. I offered to move to another section if there was a problem. They checked their system. No reservations pending and it's a quiet day. So, phone call into owner and the result: no problem just pay us $10 ($10.99 with tax, thanks) and you can stay and fix your A/C in the 100 degree heat in Wyoming. I paid: following their rules. But to me it's not cool. We camped at Cheyenne KOA in a Motorhome.

Lake Tahoe KOA, South Lake Tahoe, California

Date of Stay: August, 2012 - $65.00
Overall Rating:

Would not come back. Horrible night sleep - this park is right next to Hwy 50 and the park management has no problem charging $65 for a space right next to busy highway with traffic rolling through all night long. Even with nicer spot available, we were given noisy, uneven site. No phone reception to boot. Would have preferred to have taken the extra 5 miles down Hwy 50 to another park in the area that looked quieter. Very disappointed. We camped at Lake Tahoe KOA in a Motorhome.
