La Vista RV Park, Belen, New Mexico

Date of Stay: December, 2014 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

My husband is easily irritated at RV parks with poor and unclean facilities. He could not stop singing the praises of this tiny spot. The gravel was smooth and perfectly level. The place was quiet, friendly, and spotless. I swear he and the owner were best friends in ten minutes. The RV site is in a perfect place for easy in and out from the highway. Best for overnight as it is not set up for activities and is thirty miles from a big city, Alburquerque. We camped at La Vista RV Park in a Motorhome.

Chapparal Campground & Resort, Wonewoc, Wisconsin

Date of Stay: September, 2014 - $42.00
Overall Rating:

The park was very clean. While the seasonal sites were on the middle level, the transient sites were at the top of the hill with a beautiful view. It was easy to park with plenty of room and easy access to utilities and water. The camp includes a lake, and a long hiking trail which ends at a 40 acre refuge for birds. It is just half a mile from the 400 bike trail. We have traveled quite a bit in our RV but have never met such friendly accommodating owners. We camped at Chapparal Campground & Resort in a Motorhome.

Sarasota Sunny South RV & Mobile Home Resort (55+ park), Sarasota, Florida

Date of Stay: January, 2014 - $59.00
Overall Rating:

The only reason I did not give it 5 stars is location. This little resort is packed into the middle of the city. I Love to be close to nature. But,then again, this location is exceptional for easy shopping, getting to the beach etc. The entire place is immaculate, the spaces are easy to back into and the roads adequate for our 45 foot zephyr. There are individual TV's in front of each piece of equipment in the gym; he pool is kept at 85 degrees no matter the temp. The staff is very helpful, warm and friendly. There were no spaces in Sarasota for our overnight stay but the manager got us in to help out one of their regulars who had to leave their lot for which they had paid for five months. this was due to a family emergency. The manager worked hard to fill their space every night and apply those charges against their long term renter's costs. many planned activities and a free breakfast buffet every Saturday morning and dinner on Wednesday evening. there is so much they do above and beyond. We camped at Sarasota Sunny South RV & Mobile Home Resort (55+ park) in a Motorhome.

Eagle Ridge RV Park, Eagleville, Missouri

Date of Stay: April, 2013 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

Just on-half a mile off the highway and we felt as if we had left the mad mad world for a place of peace and tranquility. As soon as we set up, we made a bee-line for the walking trail through the woods and ended our walk by sitting at the lake. The bird song was almost overwhelming when one is used to road noise only. There was no TV reception, but our Verizon Wi-Fi worked just fine. Who needs TV when the beauty around you calls to be embraced and experienced? We received a warm welcome from the lady who owns the park. It is kept spotlessly clean. We camped at Eagle Ridge RV Park in a Motorhome.

Amarillo Ranch RV Park, Amarillo, Texas

Date of Stay: April, 2013 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Our first two nights were in a newer area which accommodated the larger RVs. The gravel sites were level and the electric boxes almost brand new. Someone guided us to our site. We left for a night to go to Palo Duro Canyon which they highly recommended. It was a wonderful experience. When we came back we were put in with the smaller units and 5th wheels. The electric boxes were older but worked fine. Throughout the park the Wi-Fi and cable TV worked wonderfully. In the second location the gravel was level but my husband felt we were packed into a small parking lot. The indoor swimming pool was warm and large enough for a great swim. They had restrooms right there for showering before and after. The hot tub was lovely as well. Very few people used the pool while I was there so it felt like a private pool. We camped at Amarillo Ranch RV Park in a Motorhome.

Lo Lo Mai Springs Outdoor Resort, Cornville, Arizona

Date of Stay: March, 2013 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

If parking by a stream with rushing water is your thing, you would love this park. There is a natural spring fed pond and a waterfall which lulls one to sleep each night. On the other side of the park is another source of water: Oak Creek, which, in March, was full with rushing water. The campground provided much serenity and easy access to many beautiful hiking spots. Above the campground are bluffs which the Sinagua Indians used to build their homes. We were able to walk among the ruins. There are no signs to guide one. The area seems to be quite unknown to the ordinary traveler. We were guided to it by a local. We camped at Lo Lo Mai Springs Outdoor Resort in a Motorhome.

Adequate RV parking with easy access from the highway and easy access to town. Clean but the sites were not level. The lady in the office was patient with a multiple number of people asking questions and requesting help with registering the campers up for the many different trips offered throughout the area. We camped at Page Lake Powell Campground in a Motorhome.

Each site is wrapped by pines and aspen creating the feel of solitude wtih nature. The park is spotlessly clean. The owners are friendly and helpful. The area around the pond and little waterfall provides ample seating where even a type A personality can relax into the beauty and peace. We camped at Mountain Meadow RV Park in a Motorhome.
