Gateway River RV Park and Campground, Carbondale, Colorado

Date of Stay: August, 2015 - $31.00
Overall Rating:

This is a lovely little park that is extremely well run by 2 sets of camp hosts. They are very attentive and will help in any way they can. The sites allow for a private outdoor setting with your own picnic area. The park would be a 9 if it did not have the road noise. The highway proximity does make for a good bit of that. Being on the bike path and so close to the river make up for the traffic. We camped at Gateway River RV Park and Campground in a Motorhome.

North Bingham County Recreation Area, Shelley, Idaho

Date of Stay: August, 2015 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

This is the old fashioned way of camping with a lovely, quiet county park. Full hookups including 50 amp with grass and trees. Drop your envelope with check or cash and enjoy. Any site would meet your needs. We overnighted and did not even have to unhook, all for $20. Thank you to the good care provided. We camped at North Bingham County Recreation Area in a Motorhome.

Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park Camp-Resort, Missoula, Montana

Date of Stay: August, 2015 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

We were delayed here with a mechanical problem and this park worked with us assuring us we could stay as long as needed. The park has lovely views of the mountains and is convenient to Missoula businesses and truck/RV repair. There are at least 5 Cummins and other repair facilities in proximity to this park. The sites are not shaded and are somewhat close together, but have nice concrete patios. We camped at Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park Camp-Resort in a Motorhome.

Coeur D'Alene RV Resort, Post Falls, Idaho

Date of Stay: July, 2015 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

This is a very well run, attractive park that is very accommodating. We had a mechanical problem which made our departure uncertain. They promised us no matter what our circumstance, they would take care of us. They did just that. There is so much to do in the area that it makes a great retreat location. The only reason I am not giving them a 10 is we had no shade although a nice concrete patio allowed for sitting out. We camped at Coeur D'Alene RV Resort in a Motorhome.

A lovely setting on the water with level, clean sites. The man who checked us in was very helpful with local information and directions. We have visited before and thoroughly enjoy the area. There is a wonderful walkway over the water for a 2.5 mile lovely walk. We camped at Fidalgo Bay Resort in a Motorhome.

Forks 101 RV Park, Forks, Washington

Date of Stay: June, 2015 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

First the positives: very pleasant manager at check in; sites are extremely clean and well cared for; location is good for visiting the peninsula. However, this is one of those parks that when you get settled you are wondering what all your research could have been about. We had a very acceptable clean site across from a true 'trailer trash park' on which the trailer in front of us had a sign 'Warning Guilty until Proven innocent, we purchase extra ammo.' Then we were forced inside by the screaming children from this trailer park. Don't mean to be cranky as love children being outside, but they were excessive. We camped at Forks 101 RV Park in a Motorhome.

Diamond Lake RV Park, Diamond Lake, Oregon

Date of Stay: June, 2015 - $39.00
Overall Rating:

We came to visit Crater Lake and ride the 11 mile bike trail. A bonus was the abundance of fun bird watching. This is a treasure trove of birds if that is on your list. A nice quiet park without lots of late night noise. We camped at Diamond Lake RV Park in a Motorhome.

Diamond Lake Campground, Diamond Lake, Oregon

Date of Stay: June, 2015 - $39.00
Overall Rating:

A great place to stay and visit Crater Lake. We were here to ride the fun 11 mile bike trail around Diamond Lake and bird the area. It is a treasure trove for birders. We counted 29 different species within the park. Included in that were at least 4 woodpeckers, Oregon Juncos, warblers and many more. It has an incredible laundry for a park this size and delivers wood to your site. We camped at Diamond Lake Campground in a Motorhome.

Deschutes County Fair & Expo RV Park, Redmond, Oregon

Date of Stay: June, 2015 - $33.00
Overall Rating:

This park would receive a 10 if there were shade trees under which you could sit and enjoy. Everything else is ideal as it is brand new and totally fresh. The management is extremely hospitable and helpful. We camped at Deschutes County Fair & Expo RV Park in a Motorhome.

A great park on a wonderful bike trail, which is important to us. Laundry is first class and hospitality is good. Sites are close together and not much green space is the reason for an 8. We camped at Boise Riverside RV Park in a Motorhome.

Grand Canyon Camper Village, Tusayan, Arizona

Overall Rating:

We have been to Grand Canyon and stayed outside the park. I highly recommend staying inside and taking advantage of the wonderful bus system and walking. It gives a whole different feel. This park is wonderfully situated and the sites are roomy. We would definitely return. We camped at Grand Canyon Camper Village in a Motorhome.

Dead Horse Ranch State Park, Cottonwood, Arizona

Date of Stay: July, 2014 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

This probably one of our favorite parks of all time. The views were awesome. The birds were awesome and the hosts were attentive. A storm set in one day when we were out and they rushed over to close our small awnings. Walking in the park was a treat with all the wildlife. We would definitely return and would love to in the spring during bird migration. We camped at Dead Horse Ranch State Park in a Motorhome.

Lakeside RV and Campground, Provo, Utah

Date of Stay: July, 2014 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

This park has lovely shade trees, but lacks privacy of any kind. It has those darn side-by-side hookups, which do not allow for privacy. However, the hosts take good care of the grounds and the bike trail is handy in the state park next door. It is well located for activities in the city. Wi-Fi works well and we were distant from the office. We camped at Lakeside RV and Campground in a Motorhome.

Richfield KOA, Richfield, Utah

Date of Stay: July, 2014 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

This is one of the nicest parks we have stayed in. We frequently avoid KOAs as they can be pricey and overrated. This is what they should all be measured by. Lovely trees with lots of shade and lovely roses and landscaping. The host was extremely helpful in locating the bike trails for us. They were convenient and great to ride. We would definitely return here. We camped at Richfield KOA in a Motorhome.

Bauer's Canyon Ranch RV Park, Glendale, Utah

Date of Stay: July, 2014 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

This park is very well located for visiting Bryce, Zion, Cedar Breaks, and the city of Kanab. The sites are not terribly wide and privacy is slim. However, it is family run and very well cared for. It is bound to be a treat in October to pick the apples which they offer to campers. We would stay here again. We camped at Bauer's Canyon Ranch RV Park in a Motorhome.
