Asheville's Bear Creek RV Park & Campground, Asheville, North Carolina

Date of Stay: June, 2013 - $43.00
Overall Rating:

A very nice park. Bathrooms are dated and small, but sparkling clean. Office staff was very friendly. They charge extra for each child. Very nice pool. Sites vary greatly in size. Our site (12-A)was very tight- we could not have put out our awning if we wanted to. We were able to park our truck in an adjacent site as they were not full. Very close proximity to Interstate 40- we could hear traffic noise, but weren't bothered by it. We camped at Asheville's Bear Creek RV Park & Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Derby Park Expo Five, Louisville, Kentucky

Date of Stay: June, 2013 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

This is just a parking lot of a somewhat shabby fleamarket. We camped here as it was close to Churchill Downs and the Louisville Slugger Museum and there are few options nearby. There were electric hookups, no water. Bathrooms were old and not very clean. Area is dicey- they do have locked gates and security staff drove through every hour. We had no problems. An OK place to stay for the night if you want to be close to things in Louisville- just not really a campground. We camped at Derby Park Expo Five in a Travel Trailer.
