Campground is clean, grass is mowed. It really isn't all that crowded because everyone goes fishing all day. Hos' store is expensive but there is a Stewarts across the street and the Custards Last Stand is next door if you like soft Custard MMMMMMMMMMMMMM! We were informed rates are going up. Would stay again as weather was ideal. WI FI at the Library and if you need you have to go to the Mobil and get on the payphone for any meetings and set your Laptop on your lap.

People go out of their way to be friendly and helpful, everywhere in the campground. Very clean, gravel drives. We have a 31 ft rig and it was tight getting it into the slot but we did. Very quiet after 9 PM, all we heard was the Chesapeake and wind. There are some decent restaurants in Mathews, about 4 miles but overpriced and the town is going yuppie. Dinner for 2, ribeye, milkshake, Fish filet and cup of soup came to $65 at Richardsons. It was very noisy but food was good. I will get my own ribeye at a grocery store next time.

Park is an old one. Has some pretty lousy looking older metal trailers with a lot of mildew on them which could easily be cleaned up. Parked me next to a 1950s model GMC bus with a shed attached which was falling apart and a tree had grown up through the bumper long ago. Park is very clean and people were friendly and helpful, being good neighbors. Some have decks and invite you over to visit. I had some trouble and one longterm came to help. Great guy, would go back again. Offers boat storage also with a boat ramp and tiny cafe with good hamburgers and corn nuggets, ice, propane and some parts.

Very nice and friendly people but didn't seem to encourage kids. I heard that from some others as well as my wife. Pretty barren, but it is at 9000 ft, which is near the tree line. They charge $4/fish to fish in their pond and after 1 time we went up to the mountains as the Rio Grande was black with ash form the forest fires. Don't believe I'll go back.

We broke down on the way, had to find the space in the dark which was hard to find. Not a complaint though. Very quiet with the nice smell of burning Cedar wafting on the breeze. Very clean and a lot of kids riding bikes and playing at the playground. Nice management and very helpful. Wide spaces with shade and paved. Would go again.

We were here last year and again this year on Memorial day, had other plans but had to change due to a death in family. Owners and staff go overboard to help and are very friendly and smiling. Clean, nice except , don't park your pickup under the pine trees as they bleed and it's hard to get off the finish. It was cold, 31 degrees 3 mornings in a row, not their fault. I had a clogged sewer and they were very helpful. Took 5 min. We will go back anytime we are in Meadville. Tuesday morning 5/13 we were about 1 of 5 left and Wed morning the place was empty and very quiet. Store has quite a few items.

Spent 3 nights, went south and then came back for 1 night. Friendly management, quick to repair TV cable. Clean and shady, spaces were well kept and unpaved. Would go again. Very quiet after 9 PM.

Cleanest we have ever seen. They pickup garbage and recycle every day you set it out by drive. A little noisy due to highway proximity. Great fishing off the dock; caught sharks at night and Red Snapper, Crevalle Jack up to 5 lb in the daytime. Tiki hut was perfect. Iguanas and Geckos were entertaining. Owners and management were friendly, courteous, and helpful at any time. Loved the security and peace.

We went to the KOA because another park does not have any running water at the sites. It was quiet, shady, and had a picnic table and fire ring. The lady who checked us in and the owners were very friendly, and they have a nice little store plus propane gas. This KOA is isolated, close to a bar that serves chicken wings in about 20 different flavors, and we never saw a mosquito. Lots of space.
