Blanca RV Park, Blanca, Colorado

Date of Stay: October, 2016 - $27.00
Overall Rating:

I thought the campground was very nice when you take into consideration where you are and the short season they have. We looked at other campgrounds and felt this one was the nicest in the area. You do get some road noise throughout the day as highway 160 is busy and you are right next to it. But you easily get adjusted to that and it quiets down at night. Bathroom and shower were acceptable. A lot of space to take your pets for a walk. There is a store on site as well as gasoline and propane. Sites are reasonably large. What was really nice was a wi-fi that was strong and never a problem! We camped at Blanca RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

We spent two days in area. Did the Sand Dunes, Reptile Rescue, Stations of the Cross and drove over to Manassa where Jack Dempsey was born. They have some wonderful parks to take a break and have lunch.

Twin Peaks Campground (NPS Campground), Ajo, Arizona

Date of Stay: February, 2016 - $29.00
Overall Rating:

Wow what a gem. No hookups and very restrictive generator hours. A place to get away from it all and spend a few days reflecting and contemplating. Lot spacing was spacious with a sunny/open exposure. Site surface was a concrete pad and features a picnic table. We camped at Twin Peaks Campground (NPS Campground) in a Motorhome.

This is a large park. Very nice spots to walk our two dogs. Wonderful entertainment at the pool daily. Didn't like the spot they gave me but was able to move with no problem to a spot we liked better. We camped at Fortuna De Oro RV Park (55+) in a Motorhome.

Wonderful large sites. Beautiful sunsets. Nice dog parks and a nice dog washing station. Beautiful pool and clubhouse area. A very attractive park. A lot of these parks people complain about all the rules but we appreciate the rules they keep the park attractive and clean. Site surface was gravel featuring a patio and sunny/open exposures. We camped at The Palms RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Sky Valley Resort , Desert Hot Springs, California

Date of Stay: January, 2016 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

The pools were outstanding. The park is well away from all amenities so if you don't have a toad you need to stock up well before you arrive. Nice and quiet. Great place for the dogs. We camped at Sky Valley Resort in a Motorhome.

Glen Elder State Park, Glen Elder, Kansas

Date of Stay: August, 2015 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

I don't know why there aren't more reviews about this place. It was wonderful. We pulled in without a reservation after the office was closed and found a camp host to tell us where to park with plenty of options of our choosing and we paid in the office the next morning as we were leaving. We were a short walk from the beautiful lake. We camped at Glen Elder State Park in a Motorhome.

Glenwood Canyon Resort, Glenwood Springs, Colorado

Date of Stay: July, 2012 - $70.00
Overall Rating:

Campground has a river rafting company located on premises. Bathrooms were used by employees of that company and were busy and not very clean. They say they are pet friendly but I would say pet tolerant would be a better slogan. No help getting to or into site, no pull through. We had two cockier pups ($5 charge for each). Restaurant on site, $30 for two burgers, with no drinks. We camped at Glenwood Canyon Resort in a Motorhome.

Very relaxing and quiet, nice large doggie exercise area, nice putt/putt golf course included, everything very clean. Wonderful owners. Only reason not a 10 is spaces are a little narrow. We camped at Cedar Creek RV Park in a Motorhome.
