This was an amazing place to camp! The owner was on site and there were constantly young, polite, helpful staff working on the grounds, helping campers and staffing the small camp store. There is no swimming pool, but there are two ponds on site, one for camping and one for fishing. There are a variety of seasonal sites available depending on if you want to be private or social. The activities and amenities on site were great and nothing was in need of repair or broken. The bugs weren't as bad as I thought they'd be for an inland campsite. There is a definite pride of ownership with this park. Tremendously kid friendly, we really enjoyed it here. We will definitely be back.

If you are a family looking for an affordable, clean and friendly family location, this place is amazing and not to be missed!! The park is owned 2 families; the primary owner and his wife plus their daughter and her husband. Both families are courteous, friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. They not only allowed us to arrive later than they would usually permit, but they helped us park and set up our "new to us" trailer. Although it appeared as though most of the sites housed seasonal guests, we were placed right on the waterfront as a family on a weekend getaway. We were steps away from their small beach with 10' sand pile and sand toys. There is a small park/play structure for children at the park, the lake water was clean, warm and inviting, and we constantly saw the owners visiting with guests, trimming the grass and doing general maintenance. The only drawbacks to this park are that there is no store on site (so no ice or firewood, though they do sell worms as the fishing is supposed to be excellent!) but there is one about a 10min drive down the road. Then, there are the spiders. They seem to congregate around the ladies washroom (which also houses the shower). They are Very big and VERY plentiful (I'm an arachnophobia, so they were enough to have me look for alternatives to their on site washroom. The toilets are flush, but they are trailer toilets, and there is only one toilet and one shower for each men and women. Long story short, if you are looking to party hard, this is not the place for you...keep looking. If you are a family or are more mature looking for a clean, friendly affordable place to stay, this is your stop!

The camp administrators are very personable and happy to give advice on where to eat, local activities, etc. Although there were other families with children, the majority of people at this site seemed to be pre-senior/senior, many with seasonal set ups. We stayed for three nights, and two of those nights the gate was closed to traffic by 9pm. No bigs, I just let the chain out and drove in, but it would have been nice to know if there was a curfew. There were no children's play areas on site, but there is a nice park about a 5 minute walk down the road. The park is lovely with pleasure craft and yachts sailing right past the door to our tent, much to the delight of my children (aged 6 & 3). There were no pools or splash pads evident in the immediate area, but for the price, I wasn't expecting anything spectacular. The only big shock/surprise was the fact that multiple trains go by the campsite each night, tooting their whistles! This isn't necessarily a bad thing, but we certainly were not expecting it! We would stay again.
