Cherry Hill Park, College Park, Maryland

Date of Stay: July, 2009 - $51.00
Overall Rating:

Big and Full during the peak season. Site size works well for big rigs but a little limited on parking toad/tow vehicle at the site. Great for seeing D.C. As others have said, Metro station is about 3 miles away. We bought unlimited weekly rail pass and a parking card and traveled ourselves to the station. Much faster than the bus but, bus stops on site. Showers/bath house very clean. Well stocked RV section in the camp store. The owners are easy to work with to extend or shorten your stay. Friendly well informed staff. We camped at Cherry Hill Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Hubbard Haven Family Campground, Hubbard, Ohio

Date of Stay: July, 2009 - $29.00
Overall Rating:

50 Amp service is complete. Very wooded and quiet. A little tight for some bigger rigs but do-able. New friendly owners in the last few years and they are making improvements. Did not use the bath house so can not comment on. Good for an overnight spot. Easy On/Off expressway. We camped at Hubbard Haven Family Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Grand Canyon Railway RV Park, Williams, Arizona

Date of Stay: June, 2008 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Excellent park for visiting the Grand Canyon and other areas in AZ. The train to the canyon is on the premises. Good Wi-Fi signals. Showers are better than some 4 star hotels. Can use the swimming pool in the hotel. Skip the on site buffet.. Easy walk to the town with several restaurants and stores and a nice bakery. We camped at Grand Canyon Railway RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tucumcari KOA, Tucumcari, New Mexico

Date of Stay: June, 2008 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

Easy on and off highway yet quiet. Extremely clean baths and showers. Pool was being rebuilt during our stay. On the down side, Wi-Fi was with an extra fee and had poor signal strength. For what KOA charges, Wi-Fi needs to be included. Little diner that serves a decent breakfast. Well stocked store. Owners and most staff were very friendly. We camped at Tucumcari KOA in a Fifth Wheel.
