Wilson H Fox COE, Granger, Texas

Date of Stay: July, 2015 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

In a 42ft Class A. Used a back-in site but drove in so windshield had lakefront view--awesome. Sites about 120ft apart. Covered picnic tables. Very private site 15. 50 amp and water. 5 night stay. Level paved sites. Boat ramp in the park. 13 min drive to Taylor super market. Great find. Grill and fire ring at each site. Definitely come back after Texas heat breaks. Voice only for T-mobile, I did telework using AT&T and Verizon hotspots, both strong LTE with signal booster and roof antenna. COE parks have been excellent so far. Too bad flooding closed Somerville Lake and Canyon lake parks. We camped at Wilson H Fox COE in a Motorhome.

Great location near San Antonio. Mostly level, gravel pull through sites, lighted hookup pedestal, great dog park. Rate is with Good Sam. Quite a few upscale rigs. Will absolutely stay here again. Landa RV & Campgrounds, New Braunfels, Texas

Date of Stay: February, 2013 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

40 ft RV and toad. Had to disconnect so the toad did not stick out in the road. No Wi-Fi detected. Great restaurants in the area. Did not use public bathrooms. Just a basic place to stay overnight and not fancy or any amenities. People come to float the river in inner tubes. Yes trains are fifteen to sixty yards away. Run the a/c fan to screen the noise or stay down by the river. We camped at Landa RV & Campgrounds in a Motorhome.

Beautiful park. Nice walking trails, very clean. Clean bathhouse and coin laundry, heard showers not hot enough. Would give a 10 if sewer available, but a dump station is available at the front of park. Would absolutely come back again. We had a great pull through, 50 amp, picnic table, fire ring, compacted gravel, fairly level Site. We camped at Magnolia Springs State Park in a Motorhome.

South Forty RV Park, Giddings, Texas

Date of Stay: August, 2012 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

Pulled in, sign said pull up ahead. Someone came out to greet us. They asked where I was from and my name, then got in their car to follow. Well signed crushed gravel roads, they led us to an easy pull though site. Easy full hookups. 6 minutes from Giddings, plenty of stores and restaurants. We were here for dog training 10 minutes away and will probably come back again. No problems or regrets. A good stay and even had us in some shade. We camped at South Forty RV Park in a Motorhome.

North Shore Landing, Emory, Texas

Date of Stay: March, 2012 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Our first visit to North Shore Landing in a 40' RV with toad. Interior roads and long pull through sites can fit any size rig. Wi-Fi had good reception. Stocked pond on site; this is located on a world class bass fishing lake. This is 20 minutes from the Canton 1st weekend sale, a quiet break from the busy shopping area. Pad sites are level with gravel and full hook-ups. There were back-in and pull through sites available. We saw motor-homes, fifth-wheels, and travel trailers. There were also cabins and a house available. A boat ramp is on site. Very reasonable country club golf available 15 min away. The pond has a great deck with fire and BBQ available. Floats available for the pond and a fountain was on, but too cold for us, maybe in June. We spent two nights, but hope for 3-4 on the next trip. This is a very new facility; they are currently building a laundry room and shower facilities. The grounds are beautiful. We camped at North Shore Landing in a Motorhome.
