Country Campground, Detroit Lakes, Minnesota

Date of Stay: August, 2015 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

Park was clean and well maintained. Level grass and some gravel sites. We were on a corner site with gravel and concrete patio, with fire pit. Site faced NW. so patio was in the shade in the after noon. We walked four miles every morning, mostly along the lakeStayed in a Motorhome for four nights. Is close to down town . Will come back. This is our third time here. We camped at Country Campground in a Motorhome.

Excellent campground. Wide, long spaces for 41' MH and toad. Grass between the spaces. What a find. Will stay again. Was here over the Fourth. Staff had a BBQ. Brats and hot dogs with all the fixins. Griff's Valley View RV Park & Campground, Altoona, Iowa

Date of Stay: September, 2012 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

This park was a pleasant surprise, as it wasn't listed in Woodalls or Trailer life. We went on line and looked for RV Parks around Des Moines, Iowa. We stopped here over night on our way to NE, Iowa. Will be back here again on our next trip. Park is well planned out, with roomy sites, level and long. Even with the drought there is plenty of green grass for our dog to romp in. We camped at Griff's Valley View RV Park & Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

We passed this campground on the way to Chanute, Kansas. On the way by, we said, "Looks like a beautifully park!" After we finished our business, we went back to check it out. We were not disappointed . The park is well laid out and maintained. (My satellite worked.) Good view of the lake/pond. Kudos to the staff and the CORP! We camped at Outlet (Melvern) COE in a Fifth Wheel.
