Lake Livingston/Onalaska KOA, Onalaska, Texas

Date of Stay: September, 2014
Overall Rating:

If all KOAs were this nice it would change my opinion of them. Beautiful park, great sites. Only complaint is the wifi is the crappy tengo internet. When I asked why it was so slow the response was that it was for email only. If you offer wifi then make it fast or don't offer it at all. We camped at Lake Livingston/Onalaska KOA in a Motorhome.

Four Seasons Ranch & RV Park, Terrell, Texas

Date of Stay: September, 2014 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Only reason we stayed here is that the park closest to the repair facility was full and the others were very expensive for a week's stay. Awful dusty road to enter my red SUV became battleship grey. Almost impossible to get someone to answer the phone. Had to put payment in a box no onsite manager. Electricity was iffy 50 amp and my AC would barley run if anything else was turned on. Don't bother with this place if at all possible. We camped at Four Seasons Ranch & RV Park in a Motorhome.

Amarillo Ranch RV Park, Amarillo, Texas

Date of Stay: September, 2014 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Very convenient for a quick stop. Very friendly helpful staff. I called ahead and they told me to take the exit (east bound I 40) just past them because GPS would take me through a residential neighborhood. Be sure to ask about the free limo to the Big Texan restaurant; well worth it. Fun and good food. It's an older park that needs some attention but great for a night or two for rest or repairs. We camped at Amarillo Ranch RV Park in a Motorhome.

Awful place. Would never stay here again. Staff was rude. Sites were muddy. It was their off season, according to staff. We camped at Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park at Madison in a Motorhome.

Great spot for one night if you are beat from driving. The wind had come up and we needed to stop. It is bare bones. The guy in the store was very friendly and helpful. Needed to send and receive a fax, and expected to have to drive, or hear: "No." But he helped us out. Would stay again in a pinch. We camped at Mountain View RV Park in a Motorhome.

Great spot for rock hounds. If you want a spot to find some (rocks) to keep, there is a road not far from here that we found some beautiful keepers. Only draw back was it was really cold. We needed 50 amps, and of course our aqua hot decided not to work during the winter storm warning. Would stay here again. We camped at City of Rocks State Park in a Motorhome.

San Jacinto Riverfront RV Park, Highlands, Texas

We reserved a spot with a hot tub since our backs were killing us from a long drive. When we arrived the tub was cold and took all night to heat up. I asked that it be turned on before out arrival. We decided to stay another night and use the tub the next day. The next morning went out to use the tub and workers were there draining it. I asked if there was a problem with the unit and the fellow didn't speak English. I called and was told they clean the tubs on Monday. I would not have booked another day had I known this. The next morning I let them know I was not happy and was told they would check into it. Called back and no one seems to know anything about it. Our site was ok, except there were a lot of long term renters with very noisy dogs. I had to call about the noise a few times. Would not stay here again. We camped at San Jacinto Riverfront RV Park in a Motorhome.

Mesa / Apache Junction KOA, Apache Junction, Arizona

Date of Stay: February, 2013 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

Best KOA I have ever seen. Nice wide spots and roads. Very friendly and helpful staff. Pool and spa were very clean. My only complaint is the little, tiny dog run, which could be easily expanded. Location is great close to freeway, but not so close to hear it. Would definitely stay here again. Wish the rest of the KOAs were like this. We camped at Mesa / Apache Junction KOA in a Motorhome.

Tucson / Lazydays KOA, Tucson, Arizona

Date of Stay: January, 2013 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

This park is over priced. WiFi is the worst have ever seen. It is not secured and all the houses in the area are on it, making it excruciatingly slow. Had an issue with my Bank account that I think may have been from being hacked while on the WiFi here. Dog run is wonderful and big. Restaurant is ok, and pool spa facilities are very nice as well as laundry facility. Neighborhood is not so nice. There is a reason for the Concertina wire around the walls. Service is good but again overpriced at $125.00. We camped at Tucson / Lazydays KOA in a Motorhome.

Cochise Terrace RV Resort, Benson, Arizona

Very friendly and helpful staff. We used a pull through for a quick night of rest and ended up staying a couple of days. The roads are nice and wide, maneuvering is quite easy. Most residents are friendly. Only part that needs improvement is for pets. Installation of a fenced, no leash park would make this a 10 on the scale. There are a couple of big fields close by, but didn't feel comfortable letting the pooch run free. Would stay here again. We camped at Cochise Terrace RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Woodland Shores RV Park, Woodland, Washington

Date of Stay: September, 2012 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

Don't waste your time if your RV is very big. These are the smallest sites we have ever seen and the roads in the park are narrow. Managers were unfriendly and rude. We felt like were intruding on their private club. We were put between 2 permanent rigs covered in dirt and mold. I could go on and on. They charged $10 if you wanted to wash your own RV. The only other park is better but also suffers from rude management. We camped at Woodland Shores RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tingley Lake Estates RV Park, Klamath Falls, Oregon

Date of Stay: August, 2012 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

We heard about this park by word of mouth after looking at the only other option in K Falls. Decided to put this park on the list. It's a few miles out of town but quite at night. The management was very sweet, helpful, and courteous. We are in a 40 RV and had a private spot with no other spaces anywhere near us. Will defiantly be back. It's a manufactured home park but were treated very nicely which is unusual for these kind of parks. We camped at Tingley Lake Estates RV Park in a Motorhome.

After reading the previous reviews we decided to spend a couple of days at this park; it is exactly as described in the reviews. It was a good value; we used the Passport America discount. Very helpful and accommodating staff; they were able to make our requests happen. Our 40 foot Monaco fit OK into the space provided. We would return or recommend. We camped at Golden Bear RV Resort in a Motorhome.
