Made this an overnight stop on our way to Spokane. Glad I called for a reservation as they ended up very full. Very green and beautiful waterfront park. We camped at Boardman Marina Park in a Motorhome.

Eagle View RV Resort, Fort Mcdowell, Arizona

Date of Stay: March, 2014 - $18.00
Overall Rating:

We looked hard to find this park. It's in the desert -- no park models! You can see cacti and desert shrubbery all around. The streets are paved and sites are reasonably wide though there is parking for only one extra vehicle. The pool and hot tub are nice and spotless. The office staff is great. Mail and packages come to office, but the newspaper is delivered to your site. There are few group activities (Thanksgiving, Christmas, Valentines), but that's the way we like it. Sites on the river side of the park are hard to come by as people return year after year (we've got one for next year.). Garbage is picked up at your site every morning and Security patrols 24 hours. The weekly casino snow crab feeds at the Casino were tasty and they hosted an awesome PowWow in early April. Our rates reflect 3 month specials. We camped at Eagle View RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Ellensburg KOA, Ellensburg, Washington

This park has a lovely site right beside the river. It is a very relaxing and beautiful place even though it is between the river and the freeway. VERY nice staff! We camped at Ellensburg KOA in a Motorhome.

La Conner Marina RV Resort (formerly Potlatch RV Resort), La Conner, Washington

Date of Stay: August, 2013 - $1.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here as part of ROD. Could only stay one week since it is within 125 miles of our home park? Would like to know the story of the large indoor pool which our visiting grandchildren enjoyed. Restrooms and changing area appeared clean, but there are strange "rug" foam squares on the floor that I don't know how they could be cleaned. Sites are tight. People got excited when we backed in, offering all kinds of advice to my husband who is a very good driver. Evidently they have had three accidents with vehicle damages this summer... We camped at La Conner Marina RV Resort (formerly Potlatch RV Resort) in a Motorhome.

Tall Chief RV Resort - Thousand Trails, Fall City, Washington

Date of Stay: August, 2013 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

We only stayed here two nights while we were visiting friends who were staying here. Dusty, dry sites carved out of trees. Narrow, uneven. We would not stay here by choice. We camped at Tall Chief RV Resort - Thousand Trails in a Motorhome.

Riverbend RV Park, Mount Vernon, Washington

Date of Stay: August, 2013 - $27.00
Overall Rating:

Campgrounds in Mount Vernon are very full in the summertime. This park is very crowded -- we could not put out our awning without touching the rig next door. There are no amenities, no pool, etc - just a place to park. There is a bit of grass between some sites with gravel parking. It would be a pleasant place if they took out every other site! We camped at Riverbend RV Park in a Motorhome.

Meteor Crater RV Park, Winslow, Arizona

Date of Stay: April, 2013 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

Pleasant staff, tidy campground. We stayed two nights with the Escapees 15% discount. It's a good thing we planned a layover as I-40 was closed all of the second day due to blowing dust and high winds. We camped at Meteor Crater RV Park in a Motorhome.

Valle del Oro (55+ park), Mesa, Arizona

Date of Stay: December, 2012 - $14.00
Overall Rating:

We spent four months here this past winter. The rate reflects the 4-month rate. Electricity, garbage, and sewer are all charged in addition (electricity was over $200 a couple of months). This resort is a large city with lots of activities and partying if that is your thing. We came because we had friends here, but will not stay at a park this large again. Traffic and parking are often an issue during events. The majority of the park is filled with park models whose owners tend to be a bit cliquish. We camped at Valle del Oro (55+ park) in a Motorhome.

Seven Feathers RV Park, Canyonville, Oregon

Date of Stay: November, 2012 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

An exceptionally nice place to stay. We enjoy the pool and hot tub here. We spent a week here. Rate reflects players club discount and one free night. Shuttle to restaurants and casino is prompt and the driver is very pleasant. Be sure to check out the special rib eye steak dinner for $8.99 that you have to ask for as it is not on the menu. We camped at Seven Feathers RV Park in a Motorhome.

Old Orchard RV Park - Closed, Orland, California

We stayed for three nights to rest up during our journey to Arizona. Pleasant folks in an older park. Unique "circle" arrangement makes for easy pull-through in and out. Nothing fancy, just a good stop-over spot. We camped at Old Orchard RV Park - Closed in a Motorhome.

Ponderosa Falls RV Resort , Cheney, Washington

Date of Stay: August, 2012 - $2.00
Overall Rating:

We have stayed here several times due to our K/M membership, usually for two weeks at a time. We get charged $2 per day for electricity the last couple of years. The sites are tight with lots of huge pine trees. There are some grassy sites, others are just gravel. The roads throughout the park are gravel. You better know how to back your rig because of all the trees! If you don't know it's here, the park sneaks up on you: there is NO signage right on the road. The name is on a large rock on the ground just inside the lane in. The park is about 7 miles from Spokane, so makes a nice base for us while we attend to physician appointments. We camped at Ponderosa Falls RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Deer Lodge KOA, Deer Lodge, Montana

Date of Stay: August, 2012 - $34.00
Overall Rating:

Office was locked when we arrived, but the staffer came running as we walked up. She was VERY friendly, walked us over to our site and waited to be sure we could get satellite reception (offering to move us if we couldn't). We had planned to stay at the Butte park, but it was full. I'm glad we found this place instead. It's a small campground located right on the banks of the Clark Fork River. Sites were very clean. We camped at Deer Lodge KOA in a Motorhome.

Big Timber KOA, Big Timber, Montana

Date of Stay: August, 2012 - $48.00
Overall Rating:

This park is NASTY! It does NOT deserve to be called a KOA. The manager was rude and refused to honor our online reservation for a 30 amp site saying that, "The Fire Marshal does not allow rigs the size of yours to use 30 amps." When I said we had been using 30 amps all across the country she insisted that's because, "The Fire Marshals are not doing their jobs." She charged us an additional $11 for a 50 amp site. We should have left, but we were tired. The usual staffer led us to a site in a golf cart, then just sat there while I picked up paper and garbage from the site: including a used pair of sewer gloves someone had just tossed on the ground! He didn't even offer to take the trash. The grass was all dried up, the table was covered with food remnants and dirt. We left as quickly as possible in the morning! We camped at Big Timber KOA in a Motorhome.

Typical very friendly KOA staff. We stayed for three nights while visiting Fort Abraham Lincoln State Park. The park brochure had a coupon for an 8 cent per gallon discount on gas at the nearby Clark station. We camped at Bismarck KOA in a Motorhome.
