Eagle's Roost RV Resort, Lake Park, Georgia

Date of Stay: August, 2012 - $37.00
Overall Rating:

Overall not a bad campground for an overnight. It's just off the interstate. The highway noise was barley noticeable and the bathrooms and showers were spotless. The pool closes way to early for a weekend night in the summer at 7pm or earlier apparently on the whims of the staff. Considering this is mostly an overnight stop and it was an August weekend night, we were pretty disappointed. Because of that and a slightly high price, considering no use of the pool, I rated it a grade lower than I otherwise would have. We camped at Eagle's Roost RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Shady Grove Park, Cumming, Georgia

Date of Stay: August, 2012 - $26.00
Overall Rating:

Overall the campground is very nice and very spacious. Sites are very spread out with nice views of the lake. It's a little light on amenities but it's a county park that used to be a COE so there's not much to compete against if you need to camp in the Atlanta area. The gate locks from 10-7am and they don't give you the code so that is a bit of a hassle. The bathhouses seem to only be cleaned weekly, but all and all it's a good clean campground, for a very competitive price. We camped at Shady Grove Park in a Travel Trailer.

The RV Resort at Carolina Crossroads, Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina

Date of Stay: July, 2012 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

Excellent value for an overnight. This campground sets the standards high and the overnight express rate returned good value. The bathrooms were spotless, as were the rest of the amenities. Quick on and off from the interstate and nice level pull through sites. Will certainly stay here again in the future. We camped at The RV Resort at Carolina Crossroads in a Travel Trailer.

Fredericksburg VA / Washington DC S. KOA, Fredericksburg, Virginia

Date of Stay: July, 2012 - $55.00
Overall Rating:

We've stayed at this campground previously when visiting the DC area. It's starting to show its age. Overall a decent park, out of the way, but still within an hour's drive of DC. The bathrooms were spotless, but the rest of the amenities could use updating. A little pricey, but considering the proximity to DC, overall good value. Would probably stay again in the future. We camped at Fredericksburg VA / Washington DC S. KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Pride RV Resort, Waynesville, North Carolina

Date of Stay: July, 2012 - $18.00
Overall Rating:

Nice campground. Sites were a tad close together for my taste but overall the park was filed with amenities, clean, and in a good location. And, you can't beat the PPA discount. We stayed for 3 nights and would have stayed a few more, but they didn't have room. Will certainly stay again if in the area. We camped at Pride RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Indian Creek Campground, Cherokee, North Carolina

Date of Stay: July, 2012 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Nice campground away from it all, but still relatively close to town. We enjoyed this place so much we stayed two weekends in a row. Getting into some of the campsites is a bit tight but the sites themselves are pretty spacious. Owners and staff were very courteous. Overall a good value for a nice place in the Smokeys. We camped at Indian Creek Campground in a Travel Trailer.
