Overall Rating:

Our third stay in this very nice Casino RV park. Has clean, grassy areas in each site with mature trees providing shade. Close to a convenience store, casino, restaurants and post office. Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Cable TV and WiFi good and FREE. Fantastic new restaurant in casino: CV Steak had excellent food, service and value. Would highly recommend and will return again. We camped at Carson Valley RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

The Virginian Lodge RV Resort, Jackson, Wyoming

Date of Stay: June, 2010 - $65.00
Overall Rating:

Unfortunately this is the only "game in town" - overpriced for the tiny spaces they cram you in. Small patch of grass designated as "pet area". Make sure you check out the restaurant - best breakfast - great bargain and fast, friendly, efficient owners and staff. We camped at The Virginian Lodge RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Flat Creek RV park, Thayne, Wyoming

Date of Stay: June, 2010 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Amazing RV park. Not your typical concrete pad - very rustic and serene. Gorgeous, grassy areas, trees, ponds, clean restrooms and laundry facilities and full hook-ups. If you are looking for a clean, quiet, friendly, RV park this is the place. We cannot say enough about it. In fact - we stayed 3 nights, went to Jackson Hole for 4 nights and the spaces were so small in Jackson that we left and came back for another week. Park owners are friendly and accommodating. Highly recommend as a destination park or stop-over. We camped at Flat Creek RV park in a Fifth Wheel.

Thousand Lakes RV Park, Torrey, Utah

Date of Stay: June, 2010 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Beautifully maintained park with red rock and prairie views. Sites are gravel/dirt with picnic table. Has a pool, grassy area. Laundry is VERY SMALL: had to go into town to do laundry. The only thing that bugged us was the layout of the RV sites and the particular site we had encouraged people to cut through our site on the way to the General Store/Office. We've always treated a person's RV site as his/her personal space and would never consider walking through someone's "yard". It's amazing how some people are not courteous. We camped at Thousand Lakes RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Circus Circus RV Park (formerly Las Vegas / Circus Circus KOA), Las Vegas, Nevada

Date of Stay: June, 2010 - $55.00
Overall Rating:

This KOA at Circus Circus is amazing for an "in-city", parking lot RV resort. Adjacent to Circus Circus Hotel & Casino, it allows access to several close-by casinos and the "strip". The laundry facilities, pool and store are well kept and extremely clean. We saw many KOA workers performing duties in high temperatures to keep the park looking pristine. They even have a fenced in, doggy playground that is fully equipped with tunnels, playhouse, jumps and the proverbial "fire hydrant". WI-FI worked great. Great place! Can't wait to return. We camped at Circus Circus RV Park (formerly Las Vegas / Circus Circus KOA) in a Fifth Wheel.

The Riverside Ranch (formerly Riverside Resort & RV Park), Hatch, Utah

Date of Stay: June, 2010 - $33.00
Overall Rating:

If you like desolate, arid and windy, this is the place for you. The owners are extremely friendly, but it appears that the upkeep is too much for them. We booked the reservation on the basis of the website and write-ups in several travel club books and unfortunately it was nothing like the website photos. It has no shade trees, dry, patchy grass, and narrow sites. It seems to appeal to the OHV and ATV crowd as they have access to a lot of off-road trails. The afternoon winds kick-up a lot of dust and prevented us from being outside. There were not a lot of rented sites for a travel week in June and most seemed to leave after one night. Unfortunately, we had booked several nights and were stuck. We won't be returning. We camped at The Riverside Ranch (formerly Riverside Resort & RV Park) in a Fifth Wheel.

J & H RV Park (55 + Park), Flagstaff, Arizona

Date of Stay: August, 2006 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

We really enjoyed this park. Although small, the owner has turned the narrow spaces into larger ones by eliminating every other space. Nice shade trees surround the area and beautiful group picnic areas available. The park was quiet and peaceful. The park does have a lot of rules posted, but if you take time to read them you'll find the owner's humor at every turn. We were impressed with the dog run, but unfortunately, if you're not a "little person" you run the risk of being decapitated while entering the "no leash" zone. My husband ran into the aluminum frame that houses the gate twice. (You'd think he'd have learned the first time??) We found the owners to be pleasant and helpful and we will definitely return to this park again. We camped at J & H RV Park (55 + Park) in a Fifth Wheel.

Lassen RV Resort (Lassen Pines RV Resort), McArthur, California

Date of Stay: July, 2006 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

We picked this RV park from the Trailer Life Directory as an overnight stop. We were very disappointed in the customer service of the office staff and the rate of the site. They did not accept any of the discount cards and charged $30.00 per night, yet had no cable, no WI-FI, no modem hook-up, no shade. No credit or debit cards accepted, cash or check only. Spaces large, but no shade or grass. Not a destination resort in our opinion. We camped at Lassen RV Resort (Lassen Pines RV Resort) in a Travel Trailer.

Grants Pass KOA, Grants Pass, Oregon

Date of Stay: July, 2006 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

We chose this park from the Trailer Life Directory as an overnight stop off of I-5. Much to our surprise it was an incredible park. Very rustic with natural waterfalls and swimming holes on a private section of Jumpoff Joe Creek. The pull through sites were large, with easy access and although the signal strength was low, Wi-Fi was free and accessible. It was a hot day and we were glad to have the 50 amp service. The general store/office has just about everything you'd need at very reasonable prices. The owners were very helpful and friendly. We found out that they purchased this once run-down park and turned it into this haven in just two years. In addition to the RV and tent sites they have three cabins that are rented monthly. They have laundry facilities and a fenced in doggy run with waste scooper and can. We will definitely plan to stay here again. It's refreshing to find a park that really caters to its customers. Good Verizon cell reception. We camped at Grants Pass KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

AtRivers Edge RV Resort, Brookings, Oregon

Date of Stay: July, 2006 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

This is a gorgeous river side RV resort with large pull through spaces for big rigs and smaller, wider back-ins. Not a lot of shade trees in sites, but landscaping is ongoing. Very friendly staff and a lot of planned activities, including Bingo and Bunco. Large Clubhouse with full kitchen allows for great get-togethers. Good river access and dog off-leash area with waste bags and receptacle. The Wi-Fi worked well close to the office, but our space was too far and we had to set up our satellite. Good CATV and Verizon phone reception. We definitely would stay here again. Great monthly rates. Off the main highway. The only drawback was the plant next door: strong smell of asphalt on certain days. We camped at AtRivers Edge RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Sea Bird RV Park, Brookings, Oregon

Date of Stay: July, 2006 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

Wow! Sometimes you come across a park that may not be right for you but this one is a true Gem. We booked a week on the recommendations of these website reviews only to find that the gravel spaces were really too small for our 36' fifth wheel. We expressed our concern to the manager who, in turn, called another park and booked us there in a beautiful, premium site with river access! That is true customer service. I would highly recommend this park for anyone who has a smaller RV. We camped at Sea Bird RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Contra Costa County Fairgrounds, Antioch, California

Date of Stay: July, 2006 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

This is a small, gravel overnight type facility. The restrooms were very clean! Cash only, park and pay. Camp host on duty, but never saw him. There's not much in this area for RV's and this is a good overnight stop or place to park to visit surrounding SF Bay Area. The spaces are VERY narrow, but we fit in with our 36' fifth wheel with three slides. They took our Escapees as a discount and also took Good Sam. Not a destination park, but the fairgrounds was beautifully landscaped. We camped at Contra Costa County Fairgrounds in a Fifth Wheel.
