Great setting right by the river, and the river is beautiful with a small sandy beach. The park is behind a bar, but we had no problems with that at all. Hostess was very friendly and helpful. Park and grounds were very well maintained and clean. Bathrooms were clean with showers. Lots of space between sites. This would have been a 10 for me if it weren't for I-90 running about 200 feet so the north. Our RV is not too well insulated and I could hear the semi trucks going by all night long.

We stayed at Chinook Campground in the rec area. Quiet, spacious sites, that was really nice. Some shade. No water or sewer and since the beach area is sandy and muddy, water would have been really nice to have. There are several trees and our spot was shaded, however, the grassy areas are dry and dead, not maintained. The beach in front of our camp site would have been really nice, but it was muddy and weedy all along the shore, the kids would not go out in the water because they got stuck walking into the water. Play toys were really nice, but again, no maint. done on the area itself. Bathrooms were clean with showers. This park has HUGE possibilities, it could be great with some ground maintenance, but it doesn't live up to it's potential.

What a great park. As some reviewers have said, the sites are close together. However, we stayed on a Tuesday in late August, nobody on either side of us, two neighbors near us in the back. Park is beautiful, lots of trees and a stream and recreation trail in the park. Showers were spotless. There is a nice fish hatchery to tour right at the park entrance and city park is just a short walk further the main entrance with nice toys for kids to play on at the park. Really happy with this park.

We loved this place. Kids loved this place. Stayed 4 nights for a baseball tournament. First come first serve. Short walk across the campground to a nice beach. River was cold but pretty, cold may have just been because the dam was trying to cool the water for the fish (took a tour of the dam). Campground was really clean. Sites were spacious and not cramped, ours was partially shaded. Neighbors were great. Bathrooms were clean but no showers. Camp host was great, very helpful and friendly. Campground was quiet but filled fast on the weekend, host had to turn people away on Friday night. Water, power, sewer and I thought cable was there too, but we don't have a TV in our trailer so I guess I'm not sure about that. This was a great campground, then the price made it a perfect 10! Seniors next to us paid $9 with some kind of a card. $18 per night for us.
