Sunset Landing RV Park, Lincoln City, Oregon

Date of Stay: April, 2013 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

This park is a Passport America park, which is how we found it. It is several miles off Hwy 101 and sits on a pretty river. The turn into the campground was tight. We were unable to find any personnel, although I went to a trailer and a building both marked "office", and while at first the place looked okay, while I looked for a host, I realized there was no sign of any short term stays. Every unit there looked long term and the empty grassy sites did not look as if they had been used recently. We camped at Sunset Landing RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Sutton Campground Siuslaw USFS, Florence, Oregon

Date of Stay: April, 2013 - $15.00
Overall Rating:

Very nice Forest Service campground. Only partially opened when we were here (April), but we walked around the other (closed) loops and everything looked much the same as our loop. 30 amp electric at some sites (like ours); look for "E" on campsite number post. No dump site available. Water at scattered faucet posts (not for hookup--carry a bucket). Running water/flush toilets in restrooms. Very heavily shaded. Our trailer is 34' and we found a site, but I but a lot of the sites would have been too small. The pull-through sites on our loop didn't have electric, our host told us. Don't know about the rest of the park. Some great hiking trails around the campground. Open year round. Fee reflects senior pass discount. We camped at Sutton Campground Siuslaw USFS in a Travel Trailer.

Port Orford RV Village, Port Orford, Oregon

Date of Stay: April, 2013 - $19.00
Overall Rating:

Park calls itself "friendliest RV park on the Oregon coast," and they're probably right. Nice clientele, many repeat guests who come for the season. Daily social time, other occasional social events. Adequate grassy sites and parking, attractive landscaping, quiet. Hosts were available and helpful and made every effort to anticipate our needs. Good laundry facility with large, commercial dryers that dried my loads for 50-75 cents. We look forward to returning here. Rate reflects a Passport America discount. We camped at Port Orford RV Village in a Travel Trailer.

Rate reflects PA. Friendly, helpful staff at this waterfront park. Very basic but clean. Fish cleaning station. Wi-Fi works okay at sites near office, not so well further away. Cable TV was good. Many long term residents. Sewer hookup at very rear of the site. We camped at Salmon Harbor RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Mountain Man RV Park, Cave Junction, Oregon

Overall Rating:

Grassy sites with shade. Some pull-throughs, ours was back-in, overlooking the river. Wi-Fi was available and adequate. Cable television adequate for overnight but was very slightly snowy. Host was helpful and friendly. Good place to stay while visiting Oregon National Caves Monument. We would stay here again. We camped at Mountain Man RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Rogue Valley Overniters RV, Grants Pass, Oregon

Date of Stay: April, 2013 - $11.00
Overall Rating:

Convenient to services yet quiet for being in town. Easy access yet no freeway noise. Clean, well maintained. Courteous, responsive staff. Good Wi-Fi and cable television. There is an off-leash dog park just a couple blocks away. We look forward to staying here again. We stayed for over a month, so the price listed reflects the monthly rate. The KW hour electric rate (that applies to monthly rate) is probably about the most reasonable you'll find anywhere. Laundry a reasonable $1.25 a load each for washer and dryer. We camped at Rogue Valley Overniters RV in a Travel Trailer.

Riverfront RV Park, Garrison, Montana

Date of Stay: August, 2012 - $24.00
Overall Rating:

Friendly, helpful staff. Some sites have shade, but many are in the sun. The park is near near the freeway; we could hear traffic and occasional train. Train was muted, but may keep you awake if not used to it. The park has two playground areas. There is an on-site chapel (actually a full-fledged church) with Sunday services. WiFi very slow, as it is served by satellite; only satellite service is available in this very small town. No waterfront sites, but Little Blackfoot River just over the bank at one side of the campground. We camped at Riverfront RV Park in a Travel Trailer.
