Cherry Hill Camping Resort, Fruit Heights, Utah

Date of Stay: August, 2012 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here in July on our way to VA and enjoyed it so much that we are staying here again on our way home. A very well-maintained, peaceful park with lots of grass and shade. Easy on and off the freeway without all the freeway noise. Though there is a separate entrance fee, the adjacent water-park with miniature golf and batting cages means there is plenty to do for children. Our dog gives this park a "10" because of the grass and trees and all the safe places to walk in the neighborhood. I should note that on both visits when we arrived there were sprinklers running in the site to which we had been assigned. We simply moved to one nearby that was dry and let the office know. They were fine with that. We camped at Cherry Hill Camping Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Beacon RV Park, Saint Joseph, Missouri

Date of Stay: August, 2012 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

Agree with another reviewer that I don't know how this park earned a Good Sam rating. It's very small, no place to walk or play with pets, and right off of a very busy road. When we arrived there had been a fender bender between a big rig and a truck. Rather than directing us around the mess to a comfortable site via the city streets that surround the park the on-duty manager squeezed us into a site where you could barely open the door without hitting a retaining wall. The restrooms smelled of cigarettes and were not particularly clean. We were only there for one night but I would not go back. We camped at Beacon RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Spring Valley Campground, Cambridge, Ohio

Date of Stay: July, 2012 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

Don't be daunted by the absence of Good Sam rating. This is a great park. It stands out as one of the favorite parks on our cross-country trip. Lots of open space, green grass, shade, pond, swimming pool, and hiking/biking trails. All are well-maintained. The owner/managers were friendly, knowledgeable, and obviously interested in maintaining high standards for their park. We would stay here again and we would stay longer! We camped at Spring Valley Campground in a Travel Trailer.
