Pinewood Lodge Campground, Plymouth, Massachusetts

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $49.00
Overall Rating:

We really enjoyed being in pine trees with natural grass/dirt campsite again. Our site had electric & water & we were able to schedule a holding tank pump out mid week for an extra $20. This was a great place for sightseeing - Old Plymouth, Boston & Cape Cod all close. We camped at Pinewood Lodge Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

We chose to ride a commuter bus into Boston to avoid driving our big truck in that traffic. Commuter rail is also available. Would suggest 2 or 3 mid-week days for Cape Cod.

Haggard's RV Campground, Pueblo West, Colorado

Date of Stay: May, 2014 - $21.00
Overall Rating:

Nice park with nice, helpful owners. They're working very hard to improve park, with new landscaping and new gravel in sites. Convenient to Pueblo, Colorado Springs and all the attractions around here. Located out in the flats so can be windy. Be sure to use a good water filter. Nightly rate was weekly rate plus 2 nights on Escapees rate. We camped here in a 5th wheel. We would stay here again. We camped at Haggard's RV Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Indian Hill Ranch & RV Park, Tehachapi, California

Date of Stay: October, 2013 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

We were sent to Indian Hill Ranch & RV Park by another RV park that was full. We were offered the sites "behind the electric gate" & told that they were water & electric only but we'd have privacy. They were right & we loved it. It was like boondocking but with hookups. We were meeting another couple & they had a site that had 2 hookups but was away from the other sites - perfect. We don't use RV park restrooms/showers so not having those close wasn't a problem for us. If primitive camping isn't your idea of a great site, we wouldn't recommend this. If you prefer scenery over close quarters, this is a great place to spend a little time. We camped at Indian Hill Ranch & RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Junction West RV Park, Grand Junction, Colorado

Date of Stay: October, 2012 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

We spent almost a week at this campground. It was an excellent location for visiting this area of CO. The sites are large & easy to access. They keep the facilities very clean both outside & inside. The laundry room was one of the best & cleanest we have seen. The staff was very friendly. We would stay here again. We camped at Junction West RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Palm Harbor RV Park, Rockport, Texas

Date of Stay: August, 2012 - $10.00
Overall Rating:

This rate was based on the monthly rate. The park is located on the Intracoastal Waterway in Aransas Bay on the Texas Gulf Coast. We enjoyed watching the barges, shrimp boats & pleasure craft going by. The owners & park hosts are very friendly, & the park facilities are kept in excellent condition. Park hosts & guests gather for coffee on the front porch of the office/recreation hall every morning - interesting conversations & fishing stories. We enjoyed our stay here & will definitely stay here again when we're in the area. We camped at Palm Harbor RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Leaf Verde RV Resort, Buckeye, Arizona

Date of Stay: March, 2012 - $12.00
Overall Rating:

This rate is based on the monthly rate. We enjoyed the variety of activities offered & our Beagle enjoyed the off-leash dog park where she could run & play with other dogs. The sites are clean gravel, level & roomy. There were a lot of "snow birds" in the park & they were very friendly to us even though we only stayed a month. We would stay in this park again. We camped at Leaf Verde RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.
