Date of Stay:

A great park with wonderful hosts. Nice gift shop and expresso bar. This park may not hit you right upon entry, but it is great. The hosts recommendation for a fishing charter was equally great. If you are going to Homer set aside a few days to stay at this park. I may not have correctly stated rate as we were part of caravan.

Date of Stay:

This is a beautiful campground with too many potholes in access roads. Sani dump is 8-9 blocks away. One potable water tap for all sites. And frankly the host while friendly was tired of being host and ready to close campground. Wi-Fi was located in dry kitchen shelter in middle of park and was spotty in connectivity. Stewart is very interesting old mining town with a great pizza restaurant. This city owned campground needs TLC and better facilities.

Date of Stay:

Just spent the last 3 1/2 months in Canada and Alaska. Without a doubt Shady Rest RV Park is the best of all parks visited. The owners keep meticulous care of property. Sites are level. Wi-Fi works, flower beds are beautiful. There is not any better. If you are traveling on Hwy 16 and can layover in Houston make this your choice.
