Heritage RV Park, Corning, California

Date of Stay: October, 2017 - $31.00
Overall Rating:

Right in the middle of town behind a strip mall. Close to restaurants and other services. Sites are shaded but branches could be a problem for large RVs. Wifi is good and OTA TV stations are easy to tune in if you don't connect to the cable. We had to park outside of the park since the site was too small even though the park was only half full. We camped at Heritage RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Desert Palms Mobile Home & RV Park (Formally Bakersfield Palms RV Park, Bakersfield, California

Date of Stay: October, 2017 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

Located about five miles east of the I-5. This park has few RV spots and a lot of semi-permanent residents. The facilities are good and the $20 Passport America price excellent if you don't mind the cluttered sites around you and the constant barking of dogs. I can stand it for one night but wish the management was more effective at enforcing their own rules. I will probably find another place to stay next time. We camped at Desert Palms Mobile Home & RV Park (Formally Bakersfield Palms RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Blue Heron RV Park, Hornbrook, California

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

Located about 6 miles East of I-5. The county road to the park is in rough condition. Upon arrival you will need to drive to the far end of the park to check-in. The cement spaces are unusual in that they all appear to be pull-in which means if you have a trailer your truck will be in the front of the site. If you are able to back in the utilities would be on the opposite side. Ideal for a motor home, especially on the sites facing the river. No cable or OTA TV reception. T-mobile, AT&T and Sprint did not connect and the park wifi did not work. We observed about five wild horses along the banks of the river in the park. They seemed to pay little attention to the campers. We enjoyed the peace we had here and just hope the county upgrades the road soon. We camped at Blue Heron RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Suntides Golf Course RV Park, Yakima, Washington

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $41.00
Overall Rating:

"not accepting Good Sam cards at this time" although referred by Good Sam, no discount ! This is a modern RV park which has mostly long term residents. You can tell how long by the "stuff" around the RVs. The few spaces that are available for short term use are at the entrance among longer term campers. That being said the grounds were clean and the wifi was strong. There is no cable but OTA tv stations abound. All the services and shops of a large city are nearby in Yakima. We camped at Suntides Golf Course RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

York KAMPground, York, Nebraska

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $17.00
Overall Rating:

YorkKampground is located right off the I-80 freeway behind a Comfort Inn hotel. Be on the lookout for the first right turn after the off ramp signal light. The roads into and through the campground are gravel as well as the RV site. The water and electric are well placed although the space between sites was minimal in the area without sewer hookups. Although located very close to I-80, we found the traffic noise to be tolerable especially when inside the RV. The wifi was not usable even with a booster. We camped at York KAMPground in a Fifth Wheel.

Holiday RV Park, North Platte, Nebraska

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $39.00
Overall Rating:

Holiday RV Park The park has large old shade trees on some sites. All sites are gravel and fairly level, although fairly close together. Ok unless your neighbor wants a late night smoke under your bedroom window. We arrived during a thunderstorm and many sites including ours were covered in standing water making it difficult to set up. My leveling blocks kept floating away. Although the water drained away soon after the rain passed, a few truckloads of gravel would improve things greatly. Good wi-fi until park fills up. We camped at Holiday RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Boulder County Fairgrounds, Longmont, Colorado

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

We liked this campground in spite of the tight sites and lack of space to park your tow vehicle. It worried me that if a camper caught fire, the fire department would not be able to drive into the park because of all the vehicles parked in the narrow streets .Check-in is easy by using the machine if the office is closed. The streets and sites are dirt although they must have been gravel at one time. Rv sites are few in the area so this is a welcome choice for someone looking for a space for a short stay. People in large RVs, especially towing a trailer should beware. The end sites seem to have the only picnic table. The sites on the South side are the longest but there are only 8 of them. The next 4 rows are narrow and the next couple are a bit wides. All of these are pull through. The rest are back-in of various lengths. We camped at Boulder County Fairgrounds in a Fifth Wheel.

Lakeside Casino Resort RV Park, Osceola, Iowa

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $19.00
Overall Rating:

Lakeside Casino RV Park is a good base to visit the area attractions such as Bridges of Madison County and John Wayne's birthplace. The park itself is well laid out with pull through sites on concrete with paved streets. Some of the sites seemed to be having electrical problems and were not available. The casino has an excellent buffet. Upon arrival at the park, find a space then go to the casino to pay. We camped at Lakeside Casino Resort RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Haworth Park, Bellevue, Nebraska

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

Haworth City Park is on the Missouri River in Bellevue, NE just South of Omaha. The home of the Strategic Air Command, this small town has plenty of restaurants and conveniences and is only a 15 minute drive to Omaha and Council Bluffs and less than 1 hour from Lincoln. Sites are reservable and all have FHU with 30a and even a few 50a connections. We experienced heavy rain frequently during our stay and some of the sites were briefly flooded. Camp Mi Casa on the Route RV Park, Carthage, Missouri

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed at this park last year and decided to come back if we were in the area. It is pleasant looking, spacious and the management are very easy to deal with. From here you can drive down Old Route 66 past the 66 Drive-in Theater (still open) and into the business district of Carthage with it's old town section near the courthouse. Plenty of restaurants in Carthage. We camped at Camp Mi Casa on the Route RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Meteor Crater RV Park, Winslow, Arizona

Date of Stay: May, 2017 - $33.00
Overall Rating:

We were impressed with the efficient check-in and loved the appearance of the entire park. The hook-ups were well maintained and located exactly where they should be. All spaces were raked flat and easy to get my 36ft fifth wheel into. The proximity to the meteor crater and Winslows Route 66 attractions make this a perfect base camp. Hardin KOA, Hardin, Montana

Date of Stay: August, 2016 - $39.00
Overall Rating:

I made a reservation on-line for a 30 amp pull-through space. A couple of days later I received a phone call from Hardin KOA asking me what type of electric plug was on my rig and when I replied that it was 50 amp I was told that I must change my space to a 50 amp at a five dollar per day increase. My statements that I had been using 30 amp spaces thruout my trip went unheeded and since there are few choices to camp in this area I had no option but to accept. Found out after we got there that it had side by side hookups. We camped at Hardin KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Some of the sites, including the one I was assigned were tough to get level however the P/A price made it worthwhile.
