Hinton RV Park, Sikeston, Missouri

Date of Stay: September, 2012 - $27.00
Overall Rating:

One of the best over night RV parks we have ever visited. Excellent pull throughs with all utilities properly positioned. Only one shower in each men and women restroom but was clean and had good warm water with good pressure. When staying here you have to try Lambert's Restaurant, home of the throwing rolls" Lots of great food choices with huge portions. Almost everyone we saw leaving the place had a doggie bag. We camped at Hinton RV Park in a Motorhome.

Sports Lake Campground, Marion, Indiana

Date of Stay: September, 2012 - $27.00
Overall Rating:

This is primarily a seasonal campground. They do provide over night spaces. Nice setting next to a small lake and across from a golf course. Showers were clean but dated and shower heads seemed to be clogged up due to bad water. Staff very friendly and helpful. Did not try Wi-Fi but was told it would only work next to office. We camped at Sports Lake Campground in a Motorhome.

Log Cabin Resort & Campground, Curtis, Michigan

Date of Stay: September, 2012 - $29.00
Overall Rating:

Enjoyed our one day stay at this nice older resort. In addition to camping spots they have numerous cabins . WiFi was out due to storm a couple days before our visit. Nice grassy open area to play ball with our dogs. Friendly owners, would definitely return. Also, when you are here, you need to visit Chamberlains Restaurant on the opposite side of the lake for a unique dining experience. Meals are $16-25, but well worth the price. Charming, turn of the century decor. We camped at Log Cabin Resort & Campground in a Motorhome.

Mackinaw City / Mackinac Island KOA, Mackinaw City, Michigan

Date of Stay: September, 2012 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

We liked everything about this campground except the Wi-Fi was poor at best. We stayed here to walk the bridge and was happy to find out they had set up a shuttle to take us to the start and pickup after the walk for the same $6 fee they charged to wait in line for a school bus. Staff was super at this park. We camped at Mackinaw City / Mackinac Island KOA in a Motorhome.

Good overnight stop. Owners live on property. Clean and well maintained park. Had a coupon deal for $1 WiFi for one day of access. Owner recommended a near by eating establishment, Uncle Bills which turned out to be very good and also reasonable. Would use again. We camped at Eagles Landing RV Park in a Motorhome.

Lake Fanny Hooe Resort & Campground, Copper Harbor, Michigan

Date of Stay: July, 2008 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

The Campground facilities do not deserve this low a rating. This rating is given because of unflexable customer service demonstrated by owner/manager. We arrived at 11am. Check in time is posted as 12 noon. We had to wait for an hour in the parking lot to comply with the stated rules. There were only 4 sites out of the 64 sites in the Campground occupied. The ower was very busy vacuming the office floor upon our arrival. The only reason these people can stay in business is they have the only water and sewer sites in Copper Harbor. The State Park Facilities are far superior but do not have these hook ups. They will newer get another penny of my money and I would urge all to stay away. I understand why rules are necessary, but common sense needs to also be applied to all situations. We camped at Lake Fanny Hooe Resort & Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Fort Wilkins Historic State Park, Copper Harbor, Michigan

Date of Stay: July, 2008 - $26.00
Overall Rating:

This is a very well kept State Park. The big draw back is no water or sewer on site, so be prepared to move rig to dump and load water every couple days. We camped at Fort Wilkins Historic State Park in a Travel Trailer.

Park over priced. Better suited for kids than Seniors. We enjoyed the dinner show. English Bears are great entertainers. Branson quality show without traveling there. We camped at Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park Hill Country in a Travel Trailer.

Kerrville-Schreiner Park, Kerrville, Texas

Date of Stay: October, 2007 - $21.00
Overall Rating:

We have stayed here many times and have always enjoyed it. The deer are plentiful and for a bag of corn you can almost get them t eat out of your hand. We like the area across the road from the river better than on the river. We camped at Kerrville-Schreiner Park in a Travel Trailer.
