Hells Canyon Resort, Clarkston, Washington

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $41.00
Overall Rating:

Very nice park with large grassy sites and concrete pads. But location is a problem. Between 2 busy highways so lots of road noise. Also some long term rentals have noisy dogs. We camped at Hells Canyon Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Snake dancer river cruise was awesome! Took the half day cruise. Lunch was great. Terrific driver who knew his history too. Left right from dock where campground is. Couldn't be handier. Fun day. Downtown was disappointing. Not as much going on as we had hoped.

Jim & Mary's RV Park, Missoula, Montana

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

This park is quite pretty with flowers everywhere! Our site was roomy and grassy. There were flies though. Town of Missoula wasn't too exciting but we didn't stay long enough to explore the surrounding area. We camped at Jim & Mary's RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Overall Rating:

Lovely park right on the water. Nice beach and easy access to water. Kayaks and canoes for rent at the park. PRetty chairs available all along the beach for sitting and watching all the watercraft go by. Weather was absolutely wonderful! Staff very nice and helpful. Sites roomy with grass yards, gravel sites. Huge park but still very quiet and pleasant. Will definitely stay here again! We camped at Blackwell Island RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Cedars is a floating restaurant within walking distance of this park. We had a fabulous meal there. Service was excellent. Make sure you go between 4 and 5:30 to get the special price. Otherwise it is pretty expensive. We also did the scenic boat cruise on the lake and that was very nice.

The Longhorn Ranch Lodge & RV Resort, Dubois, Wyoming

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

Lovely campground next to wind river. We could fish right out of our back door. All sites are big and roomy. Lots of large trees give the place a natural feel with plenty of shade. Only three miles from Du Bois and easy access off the highway. Friendly staff. Continental breakfast available for a small fee. Souvenir store in office with some RV supplies. Playground and fire pits.

This site is awesome because it is private and looks right at the river with a large grassy yard. The only weird thing is that the hook-ups are on the opposite side ep you have to drag your hoses under the camper to get to the power source but this was ok and we loved the site. We camped at The Longhorn Ranch Lodge & RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Ridgeway State Park is about a 45 minute drive and is really nice. Large lake and river to fish in, swim beach, picnic areas, camping, etc. Ouray is a little further south and absolutely gorgeous scenery. Many 4 wheel drive roads up to the mountains, box canyons, hot springs pool in town. Great breweries, shops and restaurants in town. Small winery and tasting room in Olathe was nice.

Winding River RV Resort, Grand Lake, Colorado

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $42.00
Overall Rating:

Lovely park set in the trees with beautiful views of the mountains. Elk came down each night and bedded down in a field quite close to our site. This park was quite close (2 miles) to the entrance to RMNP so it was very handy. Also Lake Grandby very near by for fishing, boating, etc. Loved this area so much we already booked a week for next July! We camped at Winding River RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Garden of the Gods Campground, Colorado Springs, Colorado

Date of Stay: May, 2017 - $49.00
Overall Rating:

Our site backed up to an old trashy trailer park. Lots of feral cats running around. No flowers or trees. Pretty barren. Worst part was the cabins which our family were staying in. One had terrible odor of cat urine. Another did not have a sink in the bathroom! Front desk people were not very responsive. Not very nice accommodations for the high price we paid. We camped at Garden of the Gods Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Very handy to Garden of the Gods and Pikes Peak cog railway. Downtown Manitou Springs was a short distance away. Shuttle is available but not from campground. You have to walk about half a mile to get to the shuttle stop.

Sunrise RV Resort (55+ park), Apache Junction, Arizona

Date of Stay: April, 2017 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

This park is very well maintained with great amenities. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Only negative was the older man helping us get backed into our site did not do a good job and we had damage to our trailer from scraping against a lime tree. But management did pay for the repairs. The site was pretty tight and difficult to get into. We camped at Sunrise RV Resort (55+ park) in a Fifth Wheel.

Los Suenos de Santa Fe RV Park, Santa Fe, New Mexico

Date of Stay: April, 2017 - $43.00
Overall Rating:

We asked for 50 amp service and lady at desk put us in a site that her key said was either 30 or 50 amp. But it was definitely only 30 amp. We checked several others in same row and all were 30. Also the park was only a gravel parking lot with lots of full timers there so it felt a little junky. Would not stay here again. We camped at Los Suenos de Santa Fe RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Circle The Wagons RV Park , La Veta, Colorado

Date of Stay: July, 2015 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

We really enjoyed this small campground. The owners are super friendly and accommodating. They have done a lot of work and it is obvious that they really care about their campground and the guests that stay there. There was a nice game room, outdoor patio area, banquet room for large groups, small gift shop with handmade goodies and a nice dog run. We are already thinking of going back in the fall to enjoy the aspens! We camped at Circle The Wagons RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Silver Cove Resort, Silverlake, Washington

Date of Stay: May, 2015 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Pretty park like setting but our site was just black rock with lots of weeds. From the website I thought this was right on Silver Lake but in fact it is not. There are numerous canals that run around the park where people can fish or boat but the lake is not really visible from the park. Since we were there over Memorial weekend it filled up with families and this is a good park for kids to ride bikes, etc. Saw some heron and lots of other birds. About an hour's drive up to Mt. St. Helens. Nice little grocery store a few minutes away. We camped at Silver Cove Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

What a lovely little park! Nothing fancy but very pleasant. Large grassy sites with big shade trees. Nice little fishing shop. Owners are very nice and helpful. Peaceful setting, no traffic noise. Great Wi-Fi. Wish it had cable but, oh well. Nice area with beautiful scenery. I would stay here again. We camped at Rendezvous At South Fork in a Fifth Wheel.

Century II Campground & RV Park, Salmon, Idaho

Date of Stay: September, 2014 - $31.00
Overall Rating:

This park was a big disappointment. Owner is only there a few hours a day and when he is there he isn't real nice. No cable TV available even though it said there was. Sites are muddy and park is rundown. It does sit right next to river but you can't get down to river due to a steep bank. It also sits right next to highway and we were awakened by motorcycles driving by all night. We would not stay here again. We camped at Century II Campground & RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Eagle Nest RV Resort, Polson, Montana

Date of Stay: August, 2014 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

What a lovely, well-maintained park! Paved streets and walkways, concrete pads and nice grassy sites. Beautiful pool, hot tub, pickleball courts. Happy hour every day! Owner lives on site and is very nice. Everyone was so friendly and accommodating. This park borders a golf course and has great views of the mountains. Short drive to town and Flathead Lake. Only negative was that the Wi-Fi wasn't working well and we had to go to the clubhouse to get a connection. But they said they are working on that so it may have been a temporary problem. We would definitely stay here again. We camped at Eagle Nest RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.
