Lake Ouachita State Park, Mountain Pine, Arkansas

Date of Stay: October, 2016 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

This is a very nice state park in Arkansas. Has full hook ups and big sites with plenty of room for kids to play. The price was a little high for a typical state park campground, but the facilities made up for it. All bathrooms have lights that come on when entering, very clean and up to date. Host was very nice and accessible when needed. The hiking trails were very nice and the views are spectacular. We will return soon. We camped at Lake Ouachita State Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Galveston Island RV Resort, Galveston, Texas

Overall Rating:

This facility is new and has a very nice look to it, the pool is very nice and the proximity to the beach access is good. We stayed for two week days and Sat, there was definitely more traffic on the weekend. The staff were are very friendly and there is a small convenience store that is well stocked. We camped at Galveston Island RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Be prepared to drive 20-25 minutes if your plans are in Galveston proper, but if your looking for a good beach spot that is not crowded this is a good stay.

Overall Rating:

Very nice campground and park, clean with friendly staff. On map, middle section of 10 pull thru sites is going to be big rig friendly, if your over 30' and these are full your choices will be limited to about 3 more sites. Playground consists of swings and slide only. Nice views of lake from point with swimming. Park also offers hiking trails. Will come back! We camped at Daingerfield State Park in a Motorhome.

Lincoln Parish Park, Ruston, Louisiana

Date of Stay: August, 2012 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

This park is conveniently located off I-20, very nice roads and sites. Bathrooms and showers are clean. Has a playground for kids that is tops. If your looking to bike, swim, or just walk in a beautiful setting around a small lake, this is your place. Mountain bike trails offer everything from beginner to advanced. Have stayed here more than 10 times and will keep going back. Nice pavilions for events as well. We camped at Lincoln Parish Park in a Fifth Wheel.
