Charlestown State Park, Charlestown, Indiana

Date of Stay: September, 2016 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

This was our first time here and we stayed here to visit Louisville and Lexington Kentucky. This is a very nice park and campground with huge sites that are fairly level. We had full hookups and everything was adequate with the utilities. The cost per night came to $40.00 with all the taxes and fees, but it was still a good deal. There are almost 200 sites and almost all were empty while we were here so it was nice not having to fight the crowds. We would stay here again. Just have to watch out for the copperhead snakes. We saw one in the road as we were taking our evening walk around the camp grounds. Apparently they have also been seen on the trails. An ounce of prevention..... We camped at Charlestown State Park in a Motorhome.

Churchill Downs Museum is a must. We also drove 1-1/2 hours to see Lexington downtown and the surrounding horse farms... The farms were breathtaking.

Coachman's Terrace Park Campground, Lake Geneva, Wisconsin

Date of Stay: September, 2016 - $42.00
Overall Rating:

This park was 5 minutes from downtown Lake Geneva. The pull-thru sites were long and level and the hook-ups were all adequate and the pool was nice. That is the best I can say about this tired old mobile home park. There were many old and run down trailers throughout the park. The majority of the sites were obviously seasonal and little care was taken to keep the sites neat and clean - quite the opposite. The 15 available RV sites were not well taken care of either, with debris, tree stumps and mud patches and Overhanging trees were in dire need of trimming. We camped at Coachman's Terrace Park Campground in a Motorhome.

Egg Harbor Campground, Egg Harbor, Wisconsin

Date of Stay: August, 2016 - $48.00
Overall Rating:

This was the first time visiting Door County and we totally loved the area. This CG was conveniently located for visiting all the towns in Door County. Check-in was quick and friendly. We met the owner during our stay and he was extremely friendly and helpful. It is always refreshing to be at a CG where the owner is investing in his property. We stayed in a newer section that was opened 4 years ago and were very pleased with the site layout, size and easy access. It had clean packed gravel for the motorhome and plush sod next to it, where the picnic table and fire pit was placed. There was a newer site section that just opened this year, that had sites about 10 feet wider for a few more dollars. We may do one of those next time, though we were very happy where we were. We had no problem with satellite reception and the wifi was ok most of the time. We will definitely come back here again. We camped at Egg Harbor Campground in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

The best shopping and restaurants can be found in Egg Harbor, Fish Creek, Ephram and Sister Bay. Washington Island was also worth a day trip.

Yellowstone Park / West Entrance KOA, West Yellowstone, Montana

Date of Stay: September, 2013 - $90.00
Overall Rating:

Very large and well run campground. Lots of activities including indoor pool and dog run. We stayed here in a cabin because our RV was in repair further north in Montana. The cabin was clean. The bed was hard. Rates were, in typical KOA fashion, on the high side, which is why I deducted points in my overall rating. I would try other campgrounds before coming here again. There are others closer to the town of West Yellowstone. We camped at Yellowstone Park / West Entrance KOA in a Campground Cabin.

Spring Creek RV Campground, Canmore, Alberta

Date of Stay: August, 2013 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

This campground is in the beautiful town of Canmore. Quaint, with lots of walking trails and a huge dog park just outside of town. The campground was very neat and clean. There was some construction going on at the adjacent property but not an inconvenience. The staff was very friendly and the manager was extremely helpful and was available at most times to answer any questions about the area. She could not have been more accommodating. The Wi-Fi was sketchy the first couple of days, but they must have fixed it because it was working perfectly the last 5 days that we were there. This was the perfect place to stay for our touring the magnificent Canadian Rockies and Jasper. Would definitely recommend this campground and absolutely loved the whole area. We camped at Spring Creek RV Campground in a Motorhome.

Dunedin RV Resort & The Blue Moon Inn, Dunedin, Florida

Date of Stay: September, 2012 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

This was a very nice, clean RV park that was near beaches in Dunedin. Sites were level pull-through and paved. I had a little problem with satellite reception because of trees, which was not a park problem, just my location. We spent 2 nights there because we had friends in the area that we visited. This campground is part of passport America, so we got 50% off, which was a good deal. We would definitely return here. We camped at Dunedin RV Resort & The Blue Moon Inn in a Motorhome.

Sands Of Time Campground, Avon, North Carolina

Date of Stay: September, 2012 - $26.00
Overall Rating:

Very friendly staff. Very helpful with directing us to the places that must be seen on the Outer Banks. We had a shady site with a large grassy area for our use. While the location of the campground is not "on the beach", it is conveniently located and allowed us to tour the Outer Banks in both directions. We spent 4 nights and enjoyed our stay, as this was our first visit to the Outer Banks. We would come back here. We camped at Sands Of Time Campground in a Motorhome.

Biltmore RV Park, Savannah, Georgia

Date of Stay: September, 2012 - $29.00
Overall Rating:

I found the owner to be rude and inhospitable throughout my whole dealing with this campground, starting with the first phone call made to find out information on site availability. I would not stay here again. We camped at Biltmore RV Park in a Motorhome.

Pioneer Campground, Laporte, Pennsylvania

Date of Stay: September, 2012 - $29.00
Overall Rating:

The owners were very warm and friendly people. They could not have been more helpful. The campground was clean. The pool was was heated and maintained very well. We had a problem with our windsheild popping out and they were very helpful in finding us a glass repair service that came to the campground. This required an extra night's stay, which we enjoyed spending here. We camped at Pioneer Campground in a Motorhome.
