It may be he end of the road, literally, but that is where you want to be in the Everglades. A really nice well located campground with very large pull through sites with electricity only. Need to fill your water tank before settling in. This is a place for nature lovers not poolside sitters. Very convenient to any number of lakes, ponds, trails, kayaking trails, naturalist programs, birding walks, boat tours. Would go back again if I had the energy to drive all that distance.

Very nice staff. Couldn't be more Helpful. Pool area also very nice. Sites not large by any stretch. What's wrong? Activities. All we heard for the 2 weeks there was about some fire that had occurred months before and as a result they didn't have this or that, really had no organized activity except pickle ball (but only for the long termers) and possibly water aeobics (not daily). This fire business just got real old since there was no evidence of missing structures that would cause the lack of programs. The place was expensive, the restaurant fine but very limited hours and if you didn't fish you better enjoy the sun because that's all there is.
