Sun seeker's RV Park, North Fort Myers, Florida

Date of Stay: February, 2016 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

The owners/staff could not have been more accommodating. This is an old park and many of the spaces are now permanent, older trailers, but the owners keep them looking nice. Many of the lots are on the small side but the park is quiet so the closeness is not much of a problem.

Most of the residents are winter snowbirds who have been coming there for years. Everyone is very friendly.

This is a dog friendly park which has two large dog runs.

We had no occasion to use the bathroom since our motorhome is self contained. We camped at Sun seeker's RV Park in a Motorhome.

Phillips RV Park, Evanston, Wyoming

Date of Stay: September, 2013 - $31.00
Overall Rating:

This park is OK for overnight. It's clean and close to I-80 so you get some traffic noise. Great laundry. Bath house very basic with little privacy on the women's side. I'd stay here again if in the area and needed somewhere other than Walmart to park overnight. We camped at Phillips RV Park in a Motorhome.

Fort Kearny State Recreation Area, Kearney, Nebraska

Date of Stay: September, 2013 - $18.00
Overall Rating:

The rate quoted is not entirely accurate since there is a $5 charge for day use in addition to the camping fee. If you are also towing a toad then you are charged for that vehicle too. But, this is a nice rural park and considerably nicer than the RV park in town - and substantially cheaper even with the day use charge. It is about 7 miles south-east of exit 272 and I-80. We camped at Fort Kearny State Recreation Area in a Motorhome.

Kearney RV Park and Campground, Kearney, Nebraska

Date of Stay: September, 2013 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

We had planned on stopping here for one day, arriving at noon. We had read the reviews on this web site and it sounded like it would be a good place to stop overnight. We reached this campground via a dusty dirt road. That was not expected! The campground was visually unappealing, and there was nobody around to take our reservation. For $35 we expected a lot better. How anyone could rate it higher than one star boggles my mind. We left and went to another park. We camped at Kearney RV Park and Campground in a Motorhome.

Lincoln Road RV Park, Helena, Montana

Date of Stay: September, 2012 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

This park is well-maintained and decent space between the sites. There are two areas that caused me not to give a higher rating. They claim to be pet friendly, and pets are accepted. However, their "pet area" is actually a construction site next to the RV park. Since this "area" is not on the site, nobody bothers to pick up after their dogs, and there is a lot of dried dog waste all over. There are no "pick-up" bags provided, nor is there a container in which to place the pet waste. Many owners do not use the pet area since there is an area of grass at the far end of the park and it appears that it might be OK to use this area although it is not listed as a "pet area" on the RV park map. However, still no waste bags or waste containers provided, and, human nature being what it is, people still don't bother to pick up after their dogs when clean up bags are not provided. Should this park turn this grass area into a pet area and provide clean-up tools, I'd give this park a higher rating. As to the showers/washrooms, I rarely use the ones in the campground preferring to use the one in our motor home. However, on this trip I went to use the ones at the park. Although they were very clean the showers were more like a locker room. Very limited privacy. I've never been to an RV park where you didn't have your own private shower with attached area where you could hang a towel and stack your clothes. There were 3 or 4 shower stalls, with curtains, but you had to leave the shower to reach your towel and clothing, so I elected to return to the motor home and shower there. Would I come back to this RV park? If I needed to be in Helena, yes. If I were traveling through, would I make a point of stopping: no. We camped at Lincoln Road RV Park in a Motorhome.

Helpful and friendly office staff. Clean grounds, pet waste bags with pet waste bins available. Solar lights along dog walk for night time exercise. Lots of grass between sites. Will stay here again if we find ourselves in the area. We camped at RedRock RV Park in a Motorhome.
