Clear Spring COE, Texarkana, Texas

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $13.00
Overall Rating:

People in the office were very friendly and helpful. All sites are asphalt and some gravel. Lots of shade from the very tall Pine trees. We had a little problem with ants but that comes with being parked in a forested area. Lake is way too warm but is very scenic. There is a designated swim area but needs some cleaning up. We noticed some bits of garbage laying around (empty cans of vienna sausage & soda cans) Alot could be done to enhance this park like installing WIFI and installing more sewer hookups. We camped at Clear Spring COE in a Motorhome.

Park is very dark and quiet at night. Its a quick trip to town for groceries or entertainment. This park seems to be used by mostly senior citizens or full timers. There is a designated swim area but not very desirable due to trash laying around.

Downtown Riverside RV Park, North Little Rock, Arkansas

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $37.00
Overall Rating:

Staying here is well worth the view. The park is located on the north side of the Arkansas River. If you are lucky enough to get a site facing the river, then you are in for a treat. You get a grassy area with benches and picnic tables. There is also a doggie pouch pole that provides free bags to pick up after your animal. The real treat is at night. All of the bridges that cross the river light up at night. The lights change colors (red, white, blue, purple, etc) and blink off and on in pattern. You also have a view of downtown Little Rock all lit up!! It was the most enjoyable sight for river view of all the places we have been so far. If you like, you can walk across the bridge to the Clinton Presidential Center. It was too hot to do that for us but we even observed people riding their bikes across the bridge. The river was beautiful and you are able to view barges moving from the Arkansas River towards the Mississippi River. The Passport America sites are in the backside of the camp and there is no grass. All sites appear to be concrete and gravel. Absolutely, No Shade at this park. There are a few rv's that look like they have been parked there for ages. The park is locked at 6pm each day so be sure you have the correct pass code. Ours was wrong and we had to wait until another car was leaving and they gave us the pass code. The lady in the office definitely lacks any personality. I don't think she was having a bad day as she was the same on subsequent days. The laundromat is in a modified trailer next to a smoking area. If the office is locked then so is the laundromat. The washing machine and dryers are nice and big but they are not coin operated. You have to pay $2 to wash and $2 to dry to the unfriendly lady in the office. I didn't check out the bathrooms as they were also in modified looking trailers. The dumpsters were behind the bathrooms in an area that is too far to walk to when the temperatures are over 100 degrees. Night views were 10++. We camped at Downtown Riverside RV Park in a Motorhome.

The Landing Point RV Park, Cape Girardeau, Missouri

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

We arrived during normal working hours and office was locked and no one in there. Fortunately, I had read reviews previous to mine and knew that office may not be open. Found box on wall marked "Registrations" and retrieved envelope and paperwork to check ourselves in. I had talked to manager on the way to park and found out what site we were to park in. Filled out short paperwork after getting to site and enclosed my check in the return envelope. Drove back to office and inserted envelope in "payments" slot. WiFi was slow at times but the cable worked great and had digital signals. Our site was a drive thru and a concrete slab with huge shade tree. All utilities worked. We had picnic table and fire ring which we did not use. Park was quite. Lots of permanent rvs and trailers but they were mostly located in different section of park. We stayed 3 days and would definitely return in the future. We camped at The Landing Point RV Park in a Motorhome.

Lehman's Lakeside RV Resort, Marengo, Illinois

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

If there was another RV park, use it instead of this one. Seriously, by far the worst Wi-Fi and TV ever! Even after calling them, they said they would reboot the router. Nothing improved! Secondly, the "free" cable is analog! Come on people, analog is so outdated. Very snowy and not worth trying to watch. Off air channels were much better. There was a recent 6" rainfall and a bunch of sites are unusable. I wish we would have used a nearby campground instead or had continued our stay at a park in Volo, IL. Interior roads are in need of some serious repair. I'm sorry but I have nothing really great to say about this so called overpriced "resort". People were nice in office but if you use a computer (and who doesn't) or like digital cable, then stay elsewhere because you won't be happy staying at Lehmans. Lots of long term campers. We camped at Lehman's Lakeside RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Buffalo Lake Camping Resort, Montello, Wisconsin

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed at this park recently. Sites are spacious and mostly shady. Internet was good as long as you don't mind re-signing back in every 2 hours! Bathrooms and showers were exceptionally clean. Park is really quiet. This park is located within a small community of Montello. There is a post office and beautiful little park. Don't expect any big stores. Staff at the park are very friendly. Even though during our stay the weather was too cool, there were people enjoying the heated pool area. Roads were narrow and packed caliche. Lots of live in residents but the majority of those wouldnt deter us from staying again. We camped at Buffalo Lake Camping Resort in a Motorhome.

Clear Creek RV Park, Golden, Colorado

Date of Stay: May, 2017 - $49.00
Overall Rating:

Easy check-in past the dump station. Sites are fairly level with decent amount of space from neighbors. This is a small park but easy to get around. We are in a 38ft motor home and had no problem backing into our spot. Very clean laundry room and bathrooms. Very little grass for the dogs and mostly rock at the sites. This is a small city park so a routine drive thru by the city cops happens daily. Clear Creek River runs alongside the park with a hike and bike concrete path between the river and rv sites. There doesn't appear to be any long termers either. During summer, rates are higher and stays are for 2 weeks max. Very close to downtown shopping district. Only awkward thing about this park is that the entrance to the park also serves as dump station even though there are full hookups at all sites, someone was dumping and blocking our entrance when we arrived. We would definitely stay again. We camped at Clear Creek RV Park in a Motorhome.

Cottonwood Creek RV Park, Dripping Springs, Texas

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

This park is about 13 miles to downtown Dripping Springs, Tx. Nice and clean park with mostly live ins but all sites occupied appeared well kept. Owner was very cordial and showed us to our site and helped us get set up. All sites are gravel with full hookups and had a picnic table. Nice landscaping around our site #28. Park is currently building more sites. Excellent broadband WiFi. AT&T cell service almost non-existant. We will stay again!! We stayed in a 38ft motorhome. Lakeview Park and Beach, Eunice, Louisiana

Date of Stay: October, 2015 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Not sure of nightly rate as we stayed for one month and had full hookups. Sites were spacious, lots if shade from pine trees. The only pitfall were the mosquitos!! They were horrible! Bring lots of Deet with you. This is such an active park tho. Every Friday there was music with live bands in the barn. Halloween trick or treaters for 3 weekends leading up to the "official" Halloween night with lots of decoration's on display. We would stay again for sure cuz those "skeeters" won't keep us away. We camped at Lakeview Park and Beach in a Motorhome.

Beach City RV Resort, Beach City, Texas

Date of Stay: October, 2015 - $18.00
Overall Rating:

We arrived on a weekday and office was locked. Called park's phone number and spoke to the owner who in turn called her daughter, the manager, to return my call. Manager told me we could go ahead and park in a spot that was available near the park's entrance and we could pay when she got to office at 3 PM. She called me at 3:15 and said she was in office. Manager was very nice and check-in was very easy. Park appears clean and inhabited by mostly working people on a monthly basis. Park is big rig friendly and most sites do not have view of the bay. There is a usable fishing dock. The manager stated that you would not want to swim in the water. No pool or playground for kids. Park was quiet for the most part. Great place on Trinity for overnight stay. Didn't see any restaurants nearby park. We would probably not stay for any long period of time as it is very removed from any nearby attractions. We camped at Beach City RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Fountain Creek RV Park, Colorado Springs, Colorado

Date of Stay: July, 2015 - $43.00
Overall Rating:

This is very tight parking at best. Lots of permanent guests. We have been traveling in MH since last April and have been thousands of miles up the Pacific coasts and this park has been the first to make me feel pretty uneasy about staying here. It is very close to Manitou Springs and the historic district of Colorado Springs. WiFi poor, Internet for AT&T very slow. You have to turn in between McDonald's and Taco Bell to cross into park. Very overpriced in my opinion. I would not stay here again. We camped at Fountain Creek RV Park in a Motorhome.

Riverview RV Park & Campground, Loveland, Colorado

Date of Stay: July, 2015 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here for 5 nights. Very convenient to Estes Park & Loveland. Our site was a back in right up to the Big Thompson River. AT&T Internet was slow at best. Water pressure was poor and one day stopped completely without warning for repairs but was turned back on within 15 minutes. Park roads were dry & dusty until it rained and then became somewhat muddy in places. Very narrow bridge to park entry. Nice big playground area for kids and several cabins located close to it. The live-insurance seemed to be grouped together. We would stay again due to location. We had full hookups. We camped at Riverview RV Park & Campground in a Motorhome.

Thousand Trails - Pacific City, Cloverdale, Oregon

Date of Stay: June, 2015 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Stayed 3 nights. Very tight, winding, and hilly roads with lots of speed bumps. Satellite & cell service didn't work. We have At&t and our friends in next site had Verizon and theirs didn't work either. Office said Wi-Fi only available in recreation center but we went all the way to third floor and couldn't connect. TV cable present but didn't work. Very difficult to maneuver big motorhome without causing a backup of other cars and RVs coming and going. Very large indoor swimming pool by recreation center if you are able to walk a flight of stairs or climb hill to get to it. Otherwise, center has large TV, soda machines, play area for toddlers, coffee, ping pong table, arcade machines and very nice views. Would not stay again as it was overpriced for the amount of services not available (ie, no sewer at our site, Wi-Fi that didn't work, no satellite and no cable, and very poor water pressure). We camped at Thousand Trails - Pacific City in a Motorhome.

Date of Stay: June, 2015 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

Check-in was easy for 1 night (no stickers/tags for vehicle or rv. Park was clean in appearance except row of dumpsters that were packed and overflowing. We stayed on Wednesday night so maybe garbage pickup was going to be Thursday or Friday. Staff in office very friendly. Small pool behind office looked clean and young kids were enjoying it. Park was fairly crowded but easy to maneuver 38ft motorhome pulling a jeep. We had full hookups. Cable included. Most channels were very snowy. Later in evening, a few channels appeared to clear up. Satellite TV impossible due to lots of tall trees. Frequent train whistle but no problem since our windows were closed and a/c running. No security guard monitoring park so anyone could drive in. Our site was fairly level on dirt ground. We had back-in site but I did notice quite a few drive-thru sites. On site store with necessities and souvenirs in the office. AT&T cell worked good. WiFi was slow. We would stay again for short stay only since satellite impossible. Very woodsy feeling type park. Didn't notice many live-ins. We camped at Cascade Locks / Portland East KOA in a Motorhome.

We stayed here for 1 week. The host was readily available at all times. Basically, a big asphalt pad with very little shade covering Parking area. Must be fully self contained as there are no bathrooms available. Big grassy area but has some stickers that my dog found pretty easily. Dogs are not required to be on leash as long as you can control the dog. This park is very convenient to the town, the Castle Air Museum, grocery stores and makes a great home base when taking a day trip to Yosemite or other points of interest. No WiFi. Rates are extremely reasonable. We would definitely stay here again!! We camped at Castle Air Museum RV Park in a Motorhome.
