This is quite a ways off the beaten path but very nice park. They have a small store with minimum supplies. Employees are very nice to deal with. Park was clean and well maintained. Biggest problem was no public phone, no Wifi, and AT&T service did not exist for miles around. We had a level back in site right on a cove off the lake.

Very nice park with full hook ups. Site was level and shaded. Overall the park was very nice. Lots of space between trailers. We had a back in site.

Park hosts were very friendly and helpful. Sites were clean but close with minimum space to park the truck. The park has both W&E and full hook-up. It's strange that they do not take reservations for the full HU, only the W&E sites. When you arrive and there is a full site available, you can take it. we were able to get a full site when we arrived but just by luck. They don't enforce the checkout time but a rig just left at 4:30 when we arrived.

This is a beautiful park. Sites are paved and level. There are both full hook-up and W & E. If you choose the full hoop-up be aware that the sewer is at the very back of the site. Depending upon where your outlet is, you could need up to 30 feet of hose. There is a state park also on the lake but I wouldn't waste my time. We visited but not that great. Downside of this park is that there isn't much to do other than a short trail or fishing. But it's a great place to just relax and enjoy.

We paid the extra and stayed at the top of the hill. No shade trees but what a view of the Smokies. Other sites down the hill are level and kind of tiered into the side of the hill. Hard to explain but shaded and very nice. Very friendly staff. We were running late to arrive after office close but no problem. They waited for us and then took us to our site. Weird but very functional cable TV. Very clean park and well maintained. Would stay here again.

We stayed here one night. Nice overnight stop. Easy access from highway. Excellent stores and shopping within a mile. We were closer to the front of the park close to the office. Comments about road noise are valid if you were to the back which is close to the interstate. We had a very level pull-thru site so we didn't have to unhook. Very friendly staff. We would use this park again.

We spent one night in the park on our way East. Very clean. They had a shuttle to the casino if you wanted to visit. Sights were slightly out of level but not bad. We didn't want to unhook but had to to get front to back level. Still no problem for the value received. Nice space between sites with grass and lots of room for dogs.

This is the second time we have stayed in this state park. We were here last year at the same time. Overall this is a very nice park. Excellent for bird watching, especially in April. Small park, and very quiet. Borders on the LLano River which provides swimming and tubing. Also many hike and bike trails for getting out in nature. Sites are not real level front to back but side to side are not too bad.

This is a hidden gem of a park especially for the value. The only downside is that many of the spaces are back to back, so if you have a rear facing window and the unit in back of you has a rear facing window, you are looking at each other. Good side to side spacing though. Sites are very level. We didn't unhook since we were only there for one night. Lots of shade trees. WIFI was a little slow but acceptable. Forget the TV channels, but not a showstopper.

Rate reflects the monthly rate. Road and sites are gravel. Sites are level with grass and a cement pad with table. There is a large grass field with play area for kids. The Rio Grande River is 50 yards away with easy access. Down by the lodge and restaurant is an open deck 15 feet from the river. No fancy roads and curbs and gates and rows of RVs. Just wide open spaces. People have been coming back to this place for years and now so will we.

This is an older park and nothing fancy but perfect if you are passing thru. Sites are level and most are pull thru with plenty of room for big rigs. We didn't even unhook for the night. Yes as others have said, there is an airport nearby. Between 5 and 10PM we had maybe 8 or 10 planes. Then quiet until 8AM. Just a note that this plane traffic pattern is new and other parks in the area are experiencing the same thing. Easy access to I-40 and Pilot station across the street for gassing up before hitting the road again. This is the second time I have stayed here and I will stay again.

This is an awesome overnight park. Gravel lots but level. Didn't need to unhook. Located at the summit of Raton Pass our back-in site overlooked the mountains. Shower and restroom was spotless. Hosts were very helpful and friendly. On site cafe has a good breakfast and dinner and great desserts. Will plan my trips to stay here again.

Rate reflects the National Parks Pass rate. What a great park to spend a few days. Sites were level. Lots of space between sites. Park was maintained very well and clean. We had a river view site. This is a nice quiet place to relax. We had good TV reception with just the antenna. We stayed two days. We would return again.

The rate reflects the National Parks Pass. We stayed here one night on our travels through. We had a nice site that was level enough that we didn't have to unhook. Park was clean and the camp hosts were very friendly. Sites were shaded and in the woods with lots of space between us. Not a lot of area to walk except on the roads. Our only complaint was the mosquitoes. We would use this park again.

The park has gravel roads and pads but they are very level and nicely spaced. Park was clean and well maintained. There is some grass between each site. Very easy in and out and big rig friendly. Television reception was very good. We would stay here again.
