Stayed overnight while passing through. Easy to access of interstate. Shopping and restaurants nearby. Cabins on site. Sites were level with all the necessary hook-ups. Gravel sites. Pull-throughs were easy to access and maneuver. Staff was friendly and courteous. Facilities were all clean. We did not use any of the extras. Seemed a bit pricey, but the campground was well maintained and clean. We would stay here again if visiting the area.

Park was centrally located near Manitou Springs and Colorado Springs. Near lots of attractions which was nice. A little tricky getting in and out of for a big rig with a tow, but doable. Downside about location is that it seems to be in the heart of marijuana central. Many dispensaries nearby. Can smell the weed nightly throughout the park. I am not sure if this is a campground phenomena or a Colorado issue, but it was off-putting to us. The sites were not terribly level. Neighbors sewer, water and electric run through your site as well. Sometimes downwind this smelled too. Sites were all gravel. No firepits but picnic table included. Despite the average sites, the view was spectacular. Staff was generally nice. There was one staff member that was grouchy and even asked my 17 year old daughter if she 'smoked'. Facilities were just ok. Seemed that the nicer shower house was always closed for cleaning. Bathhouses were average, but high use so I was not expecting much. WIFI was nonexistent, also not a surprise with the high numbers of users. There was a nice park and two pools for the kids. But with all the outdoor activities nearby, we did not utilize them much. There was dinner and breakfast served on various days at the campground. It looked delicious, but we never tried it out. We were too busy sightseeing. Overall, the campground's highlight is the location. Tons to do in the area. I would consider staying again, but may look elsewhere first and use this place as a fall back option.

Stayed for one night passing through. That is about all you can do here. Easy access. Across street from Colorado welcome center. Interstate noise was minimal. Area is sparsely populated as mentioned in other reviews, so do not expect much. There is a store on site but it was never open during our stay. Upon our arrival (in the middle of the day) the office and store was locked and empty. The manager (nice guy) dropped by several hours later after we chose our own spot and said "That's how we do it around here! Just pick your own spot." Sites were dirt/grass and level. Hook-ups were fine. There are very few spaces at this campground and not all have 50 amp, so you are very limited on site selection. It's an open field with some hookups arrayed in a u-shaped pattern. There is no shade and on a Colorado summer day it became quite warm. Despite this, there was plenty of room and the kids had a great time with open fields and grass to run around in. WiFi was listed, but we were never given a code nor used it. There are no facilities to use. No pools or playgrounds. The welcome center across the street had 24-hour restroom access which I found easy enough to use. I felt it was a bit pricey for what you got here. But that being said, there was some attraction to being out in the middle of nowhere with hardly anyone around. I would stay again, my family probably would not.

Easy to get to campground. I would use for overnight stay only. Located close to interstate. Highway noise is present but not bothersome for us. The site was level and had all the necessary hook-ups. There is a water key required to access your site spigot. You receive this at check-in. Not a problem for us. Facilities were clean but worn and in need of serious updating. We used them as quickly as we could and got out. Lots of bugs. The campground has no pool or activities for kids but we were not interested anyway. If I were in the area I would stay for overnight last resort purposes only. Truthfully, I would rather not stay again and would keep driving in search of something a little better.

Overall very satisfied with this park. Staff was generally friendly except for a couple of people working the pool area. Sites were great. Layout of the campground was ideal. Very level and spacious. Nearby river offered plenty of activities. Tubing was fun. Beach and pool were well maintained and the kids loved both. Mini golf was a well maintained course, but cost extra. Camp store had the bare minimum. Nearest store of any significance is 20 minutes away, so bring what you need. Several minor details to keep in mind. 1) Campground was difficult to find. Signage was not easily visible, with grass and weeds covering most of the sign and GPS was not helpful. Trying to find it in a downpour in a big rig with a tow in farm fields was challenging. Office staff was not answering phones to guide us in. 2) Shower houses, although clean, were limited. There are only two for the entire camp with one toilet and several showers in each. Plan ahead if you have to use it! Its a hike! 3) Advertised WiFi was essentially non-existent from our site. Didn't bother us, but be aware. Despite these inconveniences, we would definitely stay again. Perfect for a long weekend away with the kids.

We stayed here overnite while passing through the area. Extremely clean campground with immaculate facilities. Not far off interstate and ideal for big rigs. Did not use wifi or pool. This would be a nice campground if you were visiting the area or stopping overnite. There is not much to do at the campground itself. My only complaint was that our water was shut off because of the cold. We were allowed to fill our tanks only. Staff took it upon themselves to disconnect our hose rather than ask.

My family and I stayed here while visiting the Tampa area. Staff was courteous. There were three of us in a caravan and all our sites were kept close together. Easy in and out for big rigs with tow. Campground was immaculate. Well maintained, facities were spotless. WiFi was excellent. Many activities listed for adults, but not many things to do for kids. Pool was clean. Sites were level. The 'premier' sites are nice but come with relatively little shade. We preferred the regular sites.

Stayed here overnight while passing through northern Georgia on I-75. No interstate noise. Lots of trees on the premises which at first appeared to be a daunting task, driving a big rig with tow through the campground. It turned out to be relatively easy. Bathrooms were clean but old an in serious need of updating. We arrived late and left early so we did not use any other facilities. My biggest concern with this campground was the unlevel ground. We were in a row of motorhomes that were all up on jacks with multiple tires completely off the ground. It is not bad for an overnight stay, and I would consider staying again, but only for one quick overnight stop.

We stayed here over a holiday weekend. Had a great time. Plenty to do with the river and organized activities. Kids had a blast. Sites were spacious. Plenty of trees. Pool and bath facilities were clean. Many seasonals, but people were all friendly. There were no pull-through sites available which can be a challenge here for big rigs. We did not use Wi-Fi. Campground is tucked away in the countryside but is not hard to get to. The only difficulty we had was leveling our RV. All sites around us were very unlevel. Even with manual jacks, it was impossible. Our site was located in the back and away from the river on hilly ground. It appeared to me that the sites near the river did not have this problem. Either way, our family enjoyed this campground and will definitely return again. We would try for a site closer to the river next time to avoid the unlevel ground.

Stayed here one night passing through the area. The owners were terrific. There does not appear to be much to do, but the ease of access from the interstate makes it ideal for an overnight stay. Sites are fairly level and all gravel. Mostly pull-though sites. Easy in and out. We did not use the facilities or the Wi-Fi. We will stay again if passing through the area.

Stayed here over spring break. LOVED IT!. Pricey campground but well worth it. Not only is the beach beautiful, but the facilities and pools were wonderful. Staff was great. Led us to our site and helped us in. The campground was crowded, but I was amazed that the facilities were as clean as they were, given the high volume and use. There were activities for kids and adults alike. We took advantage of these extras because weather did not cooperate for the week we were there. My only concern would be the Wi-Fi. We were kicked off constantly and could not remain connected for longer than one minute. We will definitely return, but would not plan on a 'beach front' site. This is a high traffic area. Although the beach is pristine and the sunsets are spectacular, the entire campground walks by your RV to access the beach. We plan to return again.

Point Mallard appears to be part of a huge recreational complex. We were in the area visiting relatives and stayed here for one night. The campground is large and was very crowded. Many, many children. A very family friendly atmosphere, but kids were running wild throughout the night and were difficult to see while driving through the crowded park. Most sites, including 'overflow' sites, were filled. Fortunately, we had reservations. The sites were all gravel. Weaving around the campground in a bigger RV with a tow, would be a challenge. I did not think the sites were very spacious. We would have had trouble with our awning because of neighboring campsites and/or trees. We were given several choices to pick from when we arrived. None of the sites appeared to be accommodating. The management was extremely reasonable and found us an unoccupied seasonal site that they let us stay in for the night. The management was the best attribute of the campground. The bathhouses were very dirty. Many bugs and even animals were residing in the facility closest to us. There are many trees, and sites were level and gravel. There is no grass. We did not use the Wi-Fi. We did not take advantage of the nearby activities. If we were in the area again, I would probably stay to explore some of the adjacent activities, but I would stay with low expectations and avoid using the bathrooms.

Average campground. Nice friendly staff. Helped us to our site and accommodated our group (we came here for a 3 family outing). Hook-ups and sites were nice and spacious. Sites that we were at were padded and level (not all are). There were many permanents. Shower and restroom facilities were immaculate. There were some nice nature trails for biking and the lake was nice. My issues with the campground was in the upkeep. The grass at all the sites appeared as though it hadn't been cut in months. Combined with rain and standing water around our sites, everything remained soaked for the entire weekend we stayed. There was garbage and dirty underwear in our site's spigot well. Our neighbors also had trash left at their site. The dumpsters smelled and were all overflowing. This was extremely disappointing. The rec hall was old and very moldy. The game room had one game that worked. Some of these things are acceptable, but for a discounted $45 nightly rate, I expected better. We would not stay here again. We camped here in a motorhome.

Has the potential for a '10'. Price reflects KOA discount. We stayed for one night while passing through the area. Large campground with nice wooded sites. The pool looked clean but we did not use it. The facilities were clean, but seemed older. Since we stayed for one night we chose a W/E site only and that seemed to be a mistake. The site was very close to the interstate and traffic was loud and easily audible. It is a hilly campground and the site we were given was not level at all. All this being said, the service was great. Warm cookies on arrival and pizza delivered to the site is outstanding! We would stay again, but would request a full hook-up site near the back of the campground. Navigating the campground in a 34 footer with a tow was challenging, but can be done. We would stay again if in the area.

Nice campground. Not hard to get to. Follow signs for Hollywood casino. Not terribly far off the interstate. Sites are spacious with lots of grass. Showers and bathrooms are small, but very clean. Only one bath facility at campground and if your site is in the back, it can be quite a walk. Check-in was easy. Sites are level and padded. Free breakfast at hotel which is a short walk away. Campground is ideal for a weekend at the casino if you're a gambler. Shuttle will pick you up at your site and take you the short 2 blocks to the front door if you don't feel up for the walk. My thoughts when booking this campground were that it would be busy, loud and a city like setting, but I couldn't be more wrong. It is quiet and tucked away behind the Hollywood casino facilities. Two reasons its not a "10" in my opinion are the lack of sewer hook-up and the rule against fire pits. There is a dump station conveniently placed behind the hotel as you depart. We would stay again.
