Niagara Falls North / Lewiston KOA, Lewiston, New York

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $51.00
Overall Rating:

We had a nice level pull thru site. Sites are close together but Park is quiet and owners helped with directions to Niagara. We had lousy weather but nothing you can do about that. Sites are a little short if towing a car. No cable tv. Wifi is weak. We didn't use the pool or restrooms or laundry but the chair is very clean and well kept. Nice flat tent area and some cabins. We camped at Niagara Falls North / Lewiston KOA in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Youngstown is a very pretty town. Ft Niagara State Park is there for $8 entrance fee. Niagara Falls State Park is being refurbished, will be nice when finished. NY roads are terrible. Politicians must have taken all their Dept. of Transportation monies.

Overall Rating:

Worker helped us get in and out of site. Nice park. Sites a little tight like most KOAs. Nice buildings and grounds. Dog park. Office staff helpful. On a very busy street but did not hear road noise. They have a beautiful lake, tent camping and cabins also. Nice place. We camped at Savannah South KOA in a Motorhome.

Beautiful park off I57. Easy in and off and easy pull through so. Owner really nice. We had to have a part shipped here for our rv and he was really helpful. They have a nice lake for fishing. Great sites. Walking path, dog area. Nothing missing. We would definitely make a point to stop here again. We camped at D & W Lake Camping and RV Park in a Motorhome.

Mountaindale Cabins & RV Resort, Colorado Springs, Colorado

Date of Stay: August, 2016 - $47.00
Overall Rating:

This is a nice campground. I liked the red gravel on the roads and sites-no dust and mud. Not much grass for dogs though. Dog park is basically dirt but at least they have one. This park is located halfway between Colorado Springs and Canon City on route 115. It is about 30 min. each way to the attractions in both areas- Royal Gorge and Pikes Peak. Beautiful area. My only complaint with this cg is that I booked way in advance and we stayed a week. I was hoping for one of their nice big sites shown on their website but instead we were put in a small site right next to the road and office with a view of some perm. trailers and a shed. Not exactly what I expected for $300. Many permanents friendly people with propane tanks around ( not shown in video). Meanwhile many of the nice big sites were empty or had small travel trailers in them. We had a 34 ft coach and tow. People were friendly, nice laundry. Enjoyed the deer walking thru the campsite. Basically a quiet pretty spot! We camped at Mountaindale Cabins & RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Mark Twain Cave Campground, Hannibal, Missouri

Date of Stay: August, 2016 - $33.00
Overall Rating:

CG is in park where Mark Twain cave is located. It is very large. Nice and flat, easy to maneuver. Some shade some sun spots. Spots are somewhat level. There are some potholes in the roads that could be fixed but we didn't have trouble with our 34 ft coach and tow vehicle. Utilities fine. We were here in August, so not many people here. We camped at Mark Twain Cave Campground in a Motorhome.

Orlando NW / Orange Blossom KOA, Apopka, Florida

Date of Stay: February, 2016 - $55.00
Overall Rating:

We camped in a motorhome while visiting Mt. Dora. The campground was nice in that with a big rig we could basically make the turns and the pull thru site was ample to accommodate our tow vehicle. Concrete patio and nice swing/glider and grill. The pad for the rv was gravel. They had a nice dog park fenced in. We didn't use the pool or showers but they really keep the areas nicely cleaned up and maintained. My real complaint was that we were right on a very busy highway which was extremely noisy. You could hear a clickety clack sound for every car. Of course this was not the fault of the campground but it was disturbing and there was an airport close by. I guess I will check these concerns next time I pick a campground. There was also a funny chemical smell for part of the time as this is in an industrial area. Too bad they can't pick it up and move it to one of the pretty lakes in the area. I guess these two factors would prevent me from staying here again. Nice people though. We camped at Orlando NW / Orange Blossom KOA in a Motorhome.

Crossing Creeks RV Resort (formerly Mountain View RV Resort), Blairsville, Georgia

Date of Stay: September, 2015 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

This campground is now called Crossing Creeks. It was bought by a group that owns RV resorts in Fl. They are making many improvements and really turning it into a resort. The buildings are all done and are log cabin type structures with a spa/fitness, activity/event building, office, laundry, and poolhouse. The sites are level, concrete pads-nice and long and wide. Some are owned and some are rented as in other resorts. It is a beautiful area right in the mountains with gorgeous views. It is a couple miles from a small town for shopping and other services. The lady in the office is super and very helpful with everything. It is definitely more of a resort feel than a campground. We are considering going there for a month maybe in the summer. The people that are more semi-full timers that live there part of the year are very friendly and invited us to participate in activities-pickleball, potluck dinner and craft and yoga classes which are all free. Once the company gets everything set up it will be a very desirable place to stay. They are creating more sites and will be doing more for phase 2. We camped at Crossing Creeks RV Resort (formerly Mountain View RV Resort) in a Motorhome.

Rocky Top Campground, Blountville, Tennessee

Date of Stay: September, 2015 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

This was a great small park for a couple days stay in the area. The spot we had was large enough and even though we were semi-close to others it didn't feel like it because of they way they had the landscaping and terracing. The owners are really nice and it was very quiet there. The dog park was really small, but the location was good for us to get on and off the interstate to visit friends. There were some rv's and travel trailers that were there semi-permanently but they were fine and didn't detract from the appearance of the park. Owner was very friendly and helped others in our vicinity with some issues. Overall it was very pleasant. We camped at Rocky Top Campground in a Motorhome.

Streetsboro / Cleveland SE KOA, Streetsboro, Ohio

Date of Stay: August, 2015 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

This was a very nice, large park to stay at while we were visiting our family a couple miles away. The site was large and you didn't feel like you were on top of the next person. It was flat and level. No problem getting in and out. The dog park was large and close by. There are seasonal sites also but they were farther away in a different section. It is really spread out. They had two ponds-one of them had a dock that was in bad shape but we don't fish anyway. The pool looked ok but again we didn't really use the amenities much. We just appreciated a nice place to stay so close to our son's house. Wish we could say the same about the Chicago and Milwaukee areas!! We camped at Streetsboro / Cleveland SE KOA in a Motorhome.

Excellent overnight spot while traveling or staying in area. This is one of the nicest parks we have stayed at. Very easy to get on and off freeway and in and out of large pull thru spots. The owners are super and very efficient. They take good care of the park and provide great amenities. It is perfect for us and very well cared for. We look forward to staying here on our way up north and coming back. We camped at Twin Oaks RV Park & Campground in a Motorhome.

Cave Country RV Campground, Cave City, Kentucky

Date of Stay: August, 2015 - $34.00
Overall Rating:

This is an excellent park to stop at overnight or stay at while seeing the area attractions. The only thing it is missing is a pool but we don't use it anyway. We appreciate the easy on and off and also the easy getting into the nice level spots for big rigs towing. We always stay here on the way up north or coming back. The owners really take good care of this park and there are great amenities, very clean, and attractive. Our dogs enjoy the large dog park also. One of the best!! Cardinal Center Campground, Marengo, Ohio

Date of Stay: August, 2015 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

This was a great park for big rigs. It is huge and has many nice, level spots that are easy to get in and out of and spacious. It was an open area but had pine trees on it also. The staff was friendly, and easy to work with. We didn't use their amenities because we were visiting relatives but I am sure they were first class. I would stay here for longer if we needed to. It is located right off the highway but you don't really hear the noise. We camped at Cardinal Center Campground in a Motorhome.
