Just returned from a weekend stay. We stayed here several years ago and enjoyed this campground so decided to go back with our new RV. The staff was great upon check in and offered us a variety of sites. Since we had a lot of rain, I walked down to look at the sites and the site we reserved was wet and muddy. The staff told me to pick from several other available sites and just let her know. We found a nice site by the river. We also liked all the free activities for the kids. They had a great Halloween party for the kids including pumpkin painting and hayrides which were all free. I don't understand some of the comments on this site about the staff. We will definitely return.

We rented a Premier cabin for our 3 day weekend stay. The cabin had 2 bedrooms and full kitchen and was clean and nicely laid out. While the cabin itself was nice, the sewage treatment plant behind it created some unpleasant odors. The grounds did not seem to be taken very good care of. Tall grass everywhere, big tall weeds around the gazebo and a fair amount of litter everywhere you looked. The rental boats in the lake looked very dirty and abandoned. The playground at the top of the hill was nice, but the ones by the office/pool was filthy with trash and leaves in all the wooden play structures. The pool was nice and large , the adjoining bathrooms were mud covered and dirty. I walked right out and went back to our cabin to use the bathroom when at the pool. They had a nice "cook out" each afternoon with burgers and dogs etc which we took advantage of. We will not be returning here in our new RV.

This campground resort is beautiful. We rented one of their unique rentals, the Little Red Barn. The rental was clean and spacious. The grounds are so clean and well maintained. The activities are endless, from the cool kids pool and swim up slushy bar to the miniature golf and boat rentals. We checked in during the busiest part of the day and were escorted right to our rental. The staff was professional and friendly. The Gnome cafe offered a great variety of food at reasonable prices if you don't want to cook. I am currently trying to make reservations here for the end of October to take our new RV.
