Salthouse Branch, Henry, Virginia

Date of Stay: September, 2015 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

This little COE park is wonderful! No TV reception, got good cell service for my phone and Hot Spot. Very convenient to Ferrum college, we used as a base while visiting our child. We camped at Salthouse Branch in a Fifth Wheel.

Very convenient to interstate, can hear some traffic at night. Clean laundry. Single night visitors seem to get put in front row, no shade. We camped at Bass Lake RV Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Camp Lake Jasper RV Resort, Hardeeville, South Carolina

Date of Stay: September, 2015 - $33.00
Overall Rating:

One of the best parks I've been stopped at in recent years. Place is imaculate! Grass is well maintainted, paved roads, best laundry I've used. We used this as a overnight, but wished we could stay a few days. Only negative is the lack off shade. We camped at Camp Lake Jasper RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Good overnight, right off I-95, Fuel stop between park and interstate. Never saw a laundry. Asked about the BBQ mentioned by previous reviewers, they knew nothing about it. Overall good location, would use again. We camped at Country Oaks RV Park & Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Kathryn Abbey Hanna Park, Jacksonville, Florida

Date of Stay: September, 2015 - $34.00
Overall Rating:

The park itself looks well cared for...right up till you get to the campground. The store looks abandoned, the laundry was removed leaving the plumbing hanging on the wall. Campground is laid out in a wooded area and could be beautiful. However they have left downed branches laying around everywhere. Never saw park employees, camp volunteers were evident and doing a good job keeping sites clear and fire pits clean. Campground is located between the ocean and the lake, with no view of either. Was a little put off by the Strip Club at the entrance next to the elementary school. Will be back to the area, but will find a different park. We camped at Kathryn Abbey Hanna Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Oak Plantation Campground, Charleston, South Carolina

Date of Stay: February, 2014 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Park was clean and well maintained. Yes, the speed bumps were a hassle, but just go slow. Possibly the best internet connection I've had at any campground. We were in the back section of the CG and it felt a little like a parking lot, but still very nice. We will stay here again if we return to the area. We camped at Oak Plantation Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Santee State Park, Santee, South Carolina

Date of Stay: February, 2014 - $19.00
Overall Rating:

Made reservations for 50amp site, but only site we found large enough and straight enough to back into was 30amp. Roads were very tight and rough. Feral cats in abundance, my dogs were not happy. It was OK for an overnight stop, but I'll try somewhere else next trip. We camped at Santee State Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Shenandoah Hills Campground, Madison, Virginia

Date of Stay: October, 2012 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

Reserved a pull through with full hookup. Got there and the site was long enough, but not very wide. Neighbor's fire pit was about 10' from my bedroom slide and my fire pit was almost under the main slide. They say pet friendly, I'd say pet tolerant. I had 3 Chihuahua's that never left the camper but was charged $2 per day for extra dogs. This was hidden in the middle of the ticket. Nothing said about it, nothing posted on web site. When I questioned at checkout, I was told some people bring big dogs. That was the total explanation. Might use again as there is not much in area but will have to think hard about it. We camped at Shenandoah Hills Campground in a Fifth Wheel.
