Ocean Pond Campground (USFS), Sanderson, Florida

Date of Stay: November, 2016 - $6.00
Overall Rating:

We were right next to the water on an electrical site. (Sites 1-19 had power.)

The site was huge!

There was a dump station as you were coming into the camp. There was also fresh drinking water available to fill your tank.

The bathhouse was clean & the showers were superb. Good sized, 4 hooks & a bench to sit on. Unmetered hot water.

Bugs were not a problem.

The electrical sites had a $4 surcharge for electricity so the America The Beautiful rate was more than the usual 50%. We camped at Ocean Pond Campground (USFS) in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

A small drive from Lake City so stock up, this whole place is on Ocean Pond & there is a boat ramp for the campers to use. I did see people's boats & kayaks at the water next to their camping spots.

I'd go back!

Spencer Lake RV Park, Shelton, Washington

Date of Stay: December, 2014 - $15.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here in a motorhome for several months (The monthly rate went up to $450 January 2015). It's a nice place with several of the RV spots on the water (next to the restaurant).

Level spots, most of good size. Good water, cable TV & good wifi (usually better than my Verizon with the booster).

The bathrooms are private with adequate hot water, but the showers cost 50 cents for five minutes. The laundry room had 2 sets of washer/dryer ($1.50 wash & $1 dry for 38min).

There is a restaurant across the street & a small dock in Spencer Lake for our use.

The owner is serious about the 5 mph speed limit.... I'd stay there again. We camped at Spencer Lake RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

This park is not far from the public boat ramp by Harstine Island if you were looking for a place to base while doing some salt water recreation and it's 10 miles from the Super WalMart.

Durant / Choctaw Casino KOA, Durant, Oklahoma

Date of Stay: April, 2014 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

Nice place. Lots of room on all the sites, level concrete pads, picnic tables with umbrellas, grass next to the pads, a trash can at every site, cable TV, and great showers with a lot of hooks. Maybe the best showers I've seen. A shuttle to the casino & a heated pool (I didn't try). This was a nice place, I'd come back. We camped at Durant / Choctaw Casino KOA in a Motorhome.

Shipman's Landing RV Park, Surfside, Texas

Date of Stay: March, 2014 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

We stopped late in the afternoon and found the park to be an all right place for the night. A very friendly manager. As we were coming into Surfside Beach this was the first RV park we saw, I'd have no problems with staying here again but I would check closer to the gulf next time. Really close to water, birds, some people fishing by the covered picnic area. Concrete pads & good water. I'm not aware of the park having bathrooms or showers. The park is a 5 minute walk from a bar with live music and food. We camped at Shipman's Landing RV Park in a Motorhome.

Dellanera RV Park , Galveston, Texas

Date of Stay: March, 2014 - $34.00
Overall Rating:

This was a nice park, right on the beach, great showers, friendly office people, and a small store. We stopped for one night, after getting set up and taking it all in we went back to the office and stayed for a second night. One night was not going to be enough. I can't say enough for going to sleep with the sound of the surf. I'd come back again. We camped at Dellanera RV Park in a Motorhome.

RV Park of Victoria, Victoria, Texas

Date of Stay: March, 2014 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

We just stopped for the night & would do so again. The gentleman in the office was friendly, had a map ready, answered my questions, and guided us to our spot. We pulled thru and were on a concrete slab. FHUs, cable & WiFi. We used our antenna which worked well for the broadcast TV & our own internet hotspot (three 4G bars off Verizon without the booster). The park was clean & level and it is only a 20 minute walk to the Walmart & the surrounding stores. Great showers! Spacious, 4 hooks, a chair & the shower head was well over my head. I'd stop there again. We camped at RV Park of Victoria in a Motorhome.

B10 Campground, Quartzsite, Arizona

Date of Stay: December, 2013 - $26.00
Overall Rating:

We stopped for one night in a class 'B' van. It's a large gravel lot like a lot of the RV parks in Quartzsite, if you've been to Quartzsite you know what I mean. There are some trees too. There are pull threw sites (both where each RV faces one direction and where they face either direction- the doors will face each other), back in sites & tent sites. They are water/electrical sites. Friendly people running the place, clean bath houses with GREAT showers, laundry & a place to do your dishes (if you need that). Wifi and a central shaded area with picnic tables & electrical outlets (I saw people on their computers in there), a TV & a large coffee urn. I had my own internet so I did not try the park's. I'd stay there again. We camped at B10 Campground in a Motorhome.

Woodland Camper Park, Tonkawa, Oklahoma

Date of Stay: October, 2013 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

We pulled in just after dark in a motorhome, it was right off I-35. The office was in the left hand corner of the park (it's not a big place) and I was met at the door. Filled out the form, gave him the money and pulled into a spot. Water & electric hook up were no trouble at all. No broadcast TV but I did get 4 bars of Verizon 4G with the booster. Nice shower in the morning, a couple of large gas stations right here and ez on the freeway. There are what looks to be a few long stay rigs here. Quiet enough, I'd stay here again on my way thru. We camped at Woodland Camper Park in a Motorhome.

Mountain View RV Park, Van Horn, Texas

Date of Stay: March, 2013 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

This park was right off the I-10 and had a big sign, which is how we found it. A friendly lady in the office, level sites & great showers. Each bath room/shower room was a single room with a toilet, sink & shower & enough hooks. If you needed to sit the commode with the lid down (standard like you have at home) was the seat. Very clean. The cable TV did not work for us. We just stopped for the night and would stop again. We camped at Mountain View RV Park in a Motorhome.

Quail Springs RV Park, Uvalde, Texas

Date of Stay: March, 2013 - $26.00
Overall Rating:

We stopped for one night as we passed through. A pleasant place, quiet, shade trees and green. Within easy walking distance of WalMart, movie theaters & restaurants. A good brochure about the park and the area and with a very helpful lady in the office. The showers had only one hook. The Wi-Fi didn't work. I even went and visited that very helpful lady in the office to ask about it. A good Internet connection would have been a big help. She said it just doesn't seem to work for some people and offered that one lady "called her son & he told her to change some settings on her computer and then it worked". I didn't have anyone to call so I have to mark this as a "no Wi-Fi" park. The only other oddity was the laundry room is only open 9-5 along with the office. If I pass through this way again I'll stop at some other RV park because with no Wi-Fi and laundry this place is nothing special. We camped at Quail Springs RV Park in a Motorhome.

Lost Alaskan RV Park, Alpine, Texas

Date of Stay: March, 2013 - $31.00
Overall Rating:

We read about this park before we arrived in Alpine at the review site and looked at the maps. This was the closest park to town (1.5 miles) and had a pool. It is well laid out, very friendly staff, nice sized clean showers with a bench but only one hook. The pool was closed. A well maintained place, clean laundry room, and a clean 'adult' room. There is a playground, a tent area with shades for the tents, a blocked off "star gazing" area with plastic chairs, horse shoe pits, an area to wash your rig and a fenced area to play with your dog if you wish. A very pleasant place. We'd go back. We camped at Lost Alaskan RV Park in a Motorhome.

Holloman AFB FamCamp (Military FamCamp), Holloman AFB, New Mexico

Date of Stay: March, 2013 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

It's been expanded to 35 hookup spots, but the new ones did not have cable TV, gravel or patios yet. Not a bad place to stop with a Commissary & Exchange on base. Still a lot of people homesteading from the looks of things. Good laundry rooms, good showers. We spent two nights as we were waiting for tires to arrive at a shop in Alamogordo. I would have no problems coming back. We camped at Holloman AFB FamCamp (Military FamCamp) in a Motorhome.

Rivers Edge RV Resort, Winterhaven, California

Date of Stay: March, 2013 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

Friendly office staff. Gravel parking with a concrete pad when you step out the door. Nice large showers, very clean. 4g internet with the MiFi on the Verizon network. A dog disclaimer to be signed and a large area to walk them. A lot of people living there and a lot going on to judge by the bulletin boards. I'd stay there again. We camped at Rivers Edge RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Sans End RV Park (55+ Park), Winterhaven, California

Date of Stay: March, 2013 - $29.00
Overall Rating:

Friendly lady at the desk, 50 amp, and shade trees. We were parked on dirt, but there was a picnic table. Swimming pool was locked, game room with pool table , dart board & poker tables. Coin operated showers & a laundry. No credit cards, no ice, about 1/2 mile to town with a post office, small grocery store, liquor store & several PayDay loan places. 4g internet with the MiFi on the Verizon network. They have part of the RV park for RVs with pets plus there is a specific dog walk area. We camped at Sans End RV Park (55+ Park) in a Motorhome.
