Quiet campground nestled in the trees with very friendly and accommodating staff. Close proximity to shopping and 18 miles from Acadia NP and all it has to offer. Great value for the area and is the perfect home-base for a long-term stay. Would definitely stay again. Crater Lake RV Park (AKA Prospect RV Park), Prospect, Oregon

Date of Stay: October, 2012 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed a week at this beautiful park owned and operated by a wonderful couple. It is more like a bed-n-breakfast than an RV park. Pam drove us around the park in a golf cart to help us pick the best site for our large fifth-wheel trailer. They helped us plan our entire stay in the area handing us brochures, maps and giving recommendations for hikes and sights. They even helped us plan the next leg of our trip to Bend, OR. We have been on the road for two months across five states and this has been our favorite place. We camped at Crater Lake RV Park (AKA Prospect RV Park) in a Fifth Wheel.

USA RV Park, Gallup, New Mexico

Date of Stay: August, 2012 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

We chose this campground based on their advertisement in Trailer Life stating their proximity to Chaco Canyon, Four Corners the Painted Desert, etc. We were very disappointed to find out that Chaco Canyon was a two hour plus drive and not easy to get to from Gallup. The park itself was basically clean, but there was no grass for the dogs and the pet area was sub-standard. We camped at USA RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.
