Diamond Campground and RV Park, Woodland Park, Colorado

Date of Stay: June, 2016 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

The park setting is lovely, treed and natural, but within the city limits, so it is close to everything.
There is a nice rec hall for activities in case of rain. Staff are friendly and helpful. The park is kept clean and neat. We have stayed here before in a motorhome and enjoyed the park. We will come back in the future. We camped at Diamond Campground and RV Park in a Motorhome.

Circle The Wagons RV Park , La Veta, Colorado

Date of Stay: September, 2015 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

What a gem this park is! The owners have done an incredible job upgrading the park since they purchased it. They are so friendly and helpful. We camped here with our group and the owners go out of their way to work with groups and make everyone feel at home. The restrooms and showers are exceptionally clean, as is the whole park. We will return. We camped at Circle The Wagons RV Park in a Motorhome.

Aspen Acres Campground, Rye, Colorado

Date of Stay: July, 2015 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

Our group has stayed here in years past (see 2012 review), but management has changed. New management did not honor the price we were quoted when the reservation was made. Also, camping fees for the entire stay are now charged when reservations are made. Cancellation policy has also changed but to their credit, they agreed to accept the original cancellation policy. If you are part of a group, get information on use of the rec hall, cancellation policy and pricing in writing. The rec hall was rented to an outside group without our knowledge ( that group ended up canceling, which allowed us the use of the rec hall and solved a problem for our group, as we eat all meals together). It is still a quiet oasis in a picturesque setting, but overall the experience was not the same as in previous years. We camped at Aspen Acres Campground in a Motorhome.

Our group camped here for 3 days. Staff and owners go out of their way to be helpful. Excellent campground with level sites. Fantastic rec hall for group use which is important to our group as we eat meals together. We had to change dates unexpectedly, and the owners worked with us and were very accommodating. We plan to return again next year. We camped at Pueblo South / Colorado City KOA in a Motorhome.

Stayed here with a group. This group has been to the park several times. Staff always friendly and helpful. Wonderful, wooded sites. In mountain setting. Easy access to park and nice pull-throughs. Excellent rec hall and pavilion for activities. Clean and picturesque. Cell phone use and Wi-Fi possible in the rec hall. A great place to get away from the hustle and bustle. Grand Haven Resort (formerly Grand Haven Campground), Grand Haven, Michigan

Date of Stay: June, 2012 - $55.00
Overall Rating:

Arrived in 95 degree heat. Given a site where electric on one side, water on the other. We could not reach both. Staff unable to change our site. Everything goes through corporate & their computers not responding. Sat in the heat for 45 minutes & finally got moved to a different site, but it was made clear to us the next time we visited this site would be more expensive. There will not be a next time. We were told some $$ would be refunded since we are Passport America members. Did not happen. Even spoke to someone in corporate who seemed sympathetic, but no refund ever sent. Park is old and needs work. Way too high price. Parent company Morgan RV Resorts kept leaving telemarketing messages for 2 months after our visit. Finally got that stopped. Recommend you look elsewhere for a park in this area. We camped at Grand Haven Resort (formerly Grand Haven Campground) in a Fifth Wheel.

Medina / Wildwood Lake KOA, Medina, New York

Date of Stay: June, 2012 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

Wonderful park. Stayed 2 weeks. Very friendly and exceptionally helpful staff. Lots of activities for the kids. Very clean. Small lake for swimming, and canoeing, plus pool. Shaded sites. Within easy drive of Niagara Falls, Buffalo & Rochester. Quiet, countryside park. Our kids flew in and stayed in cabins near us. Staff couldn't have done more to make us welcome. Able to make reservations during the winter & this was the only park in the area to respond to my e-mails even though the park is closed in winter. Highly recommend. We camped at Medina / Wildwood Lake KOA in a Fifth Wheel.
