Sunshine Travel RV Resort, Vero Beach, Florida

Date of Stay: March, 2016 - $15.00
Overall Rating:

Was here for 3 months via Thousand Trails special rate $1499. That was good, the rest not so much. Water was horrible, if it wasn't off to fix bursted pipes. Staff was fine. Seasonal Campers very clickish & not friendly to new campers. Wi-fi worked at clubhouse until last month when they changed providers & then couldn't get it at all. Were not helpful in troubleshooting. Will not return for 3 months for sure. Had to go to Comcast for digital box & pay for $50 service call to connect; and then call FL power & light to create account--very expensive rates. Neighbor kept 2 large dogs tied to railings all day, never walked, pooped in yard and scared people and dogs walking by. Felt horrible for dogs. We camped at Sunshine Travel RV Resort in a Motorhome.

The Oaks at Point South, Yemassee, South Carolina

Date of Stay: November, 2015 - $1.00
Overall Rating:

County Road leading in has Huge potholes & campground too, no way to miss them. I was parked in muddy area. Had to carry my little dogs to woods so not get muddy. Then rained overnight so worse. Walked in water to get in car. Shoes soaked. Huge Puddles all around coach. Then 1 jack got stuck in mud & had to pry it up. Think campground Needs gravel to improve roads & sites. We camped at The Oaks at Point South in a Motorhome.

Endless Caverns Resort, New Market, Virginia

Date of Stay: August, 2013 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

This is 2nd time here & still didn't like it. Too many hills on gravel road which are very slippery & dusty & not good for bikes or handicap scooters. Need tow car to get around. Nice big sits but Site 48 has dangerous stump which everyone tripped on until moved chair to cover. Some sites needed weed whacking. Not much grass for dogs. No antenna TV reception & no cable tv. Trouble with satellite because of trees. WiFi good. Nice view of mts. We camped at Endless Caverns Resort in a Motorhome.

Halesford Harbour RV Park Resort, Moneta, Virginia

Date of Stay: June, 2013 - $60.00
Overall Rating:

Campground is on Smith Mt Lake but unless you have a boat or jet ski, you can't see much of it. At the entrance, there is a sign to stop & call a number & golf cart would meet you to go to site. Road is one way, narrow, with steep inclines to 4 levels. Once parked in back-in site, we had good view on 2nd level. Not much room to maneuver big rigs. One issue was that there were no rules or restrictions. Second, issue is the office invoiced a much higher rate($75) for holiday week which was not quoted to us nor listed on website. We had to seek out management since they did not come to us after several hours. We finally got it worked out but left a bad taste on our 4 night stay. They focus more on permanent than overnight campers. We camped at Halesford Harbour RV Park Resort in a Motorhome.

Flamingo Lake RV Resort, Jacksonville, Florida

Date of Stay: February, 2013 - $52.00
Overall Rating:

Very nice campground with beautiful view of lake. Front desk Staff was very helpful; they held our site for extra days because didn't know when leaving due to weather. On site cafe. Food was so-so but at least available if you can't go out. Entertainment on most Friday/Saturday nights. We camped at Flamingo Lake RV Resort in a Motorhome.

St. Augustine Beach KOA, St Augustine Beach, Florida

Date of Stay: February, 2013 - $62.00
Overall Rating:

Convenient to downtown St Augustine. Easy to get to. Lots of restaurants close by, too. Stayed a week. Good walk around pond for dogs, and there is a dog park. Paved sites. Lots of ducks and bird droppings. Reserved 2 sites together, but they didn't have any available at check-in. Moved the next day to be next to our friends. Otherwise, it's a nice park, and we would stay again. We camped at St. Augustine Beach KOA in a Motorhome.

Lynchburg / Blue Ridge Parkway KOA, Monroe, Virginia

Date of Stay: October, 2012 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

This park just changed ownership. Owners were nice and helpful. Quiet time enforced. Needs better signage from road because some GPS directions were incorrect and if you miss it then must go 10 miles of mountain road before you can turn around. Lead-in signs would be helpful. Very family friendly with good activities at Halloween. We camped at Lynchburg / Blue Ridge Parkway KOA in a Motorhome.

Camping in the Smokies RV Park, Gatlinburg, Tennessee

Date of Stay: October, 2012 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

This is a lovely campground, small but easy to get in and out of, quiet but close to downtown Gatlinburg & Pigeon Forge. Managers were extremely helpful in every way. We would definitely stay there again. I know there are limited 50 amp sites available, but more planned for 2013. We camped at Camping in the Smokies RV Park in a Motorhome.
